That's a little extreme. You really went 0-100. I think it's a fair question. Thanks for your input though, it was highly informative and not at all facetious...
Subnautica doesn't even have weapons except for a small knife yet people find ways to kill every creature in the game and there were calls for harpoons and deadlier torpedoes.
Planet Crafter is about terraforming and there are zero threats yet people clamor for enemies they can kill and bigger and badder guns.
I play as many shooters as the next guy starting with Far Cry through Call of Duty to the DOOM franchise, Battlefield and others. But there is a place for less violent and more building, thinking games with some RPG elements.
But to answer your question without bias. The current update in Beta does have crossbow improvements including explosive bolts and poisonous bolts. Its all in the update notes on the game page.
The Devs have been extremely accommodating to the player base and have added more combat as a result. I am not sure that's the right way to go/
