Low FPS while the ship is moving
I didn't notice this before this gardening update, maybe due to I never played this long. Long story short, while the ship is moving, the FPS goes down to 20-40s. When I stop, it hits the 60 cap. Please advise

This happens even when the ship doesn't have any velocity; it even happens when ship is just rotating around the same point, turning left and right. Height doesn't matter, speed doesn't matter. As long as the ship has any motion, FPS dips.

Some relevant specs: 4080 Super, 3900X, 64GB DDR4 3200. Whenever the ship is moving, CPU usage skyrockets. Only recently started expanding the ship, total room size is around 40 blocks, little to no objects.

ive noticed significant performance issues as well at times id say gotta be below 20 liek ur talking bout as teh screen practicaly freezes and stutters. even tryed downing my graphics but that didnt seem to help any. mby just a game optimizatioin issue?

It doesn't feel like an optimization issue though. When I delete 10 rooms (any room), FPS holds steady. When I reinstall those (in any place), FPS starts dipping again. Only happens while the ship is moving/turning.

I definitely don't have the best CPU in the world, but having 10 rooms make such a big difference doesn't feel right.

Settings -> game play -> ship sway = zero

Otherwise the game is attempting to apply physic models to everything in the ship every time though the list of objects that are the ship; Hopefully not everything inside the ship as well.

I have disabled ship sway the moment this setting became available and I still have FPS drops like OP described. it's just the game not being optimized properly, but it's getting better step by step with each update.

Hi, thank you for reporting this. We are aware of this specific issue and are working to fix it. As far as we're aware, the FPS being better after disabling the ship sway is accidental and does not fix this problem.
