so Epoxy is now gated under the plants that require epoxy to research the virus analyser.
I found 2 epoxy in the entire upper portion of the underdust, so now I have to leave just to travel 2km to find greenhouses where i can get 2-3 epoxy at each site.

talk about killing the flow of the game, I'm going to shelf this title for awhile

Its not gated. You can get it in a greenhouse tower.
Use one to research how to make it yourself. 3 Plant oil and synthetics will make 5 at a time.

Right but the issue is the "plant resin" not plant oil are also locked in the under-dust tunnels.

I'm pretty seasoned in this game and I actually went to 3 green houses before I went to the under-dust which is the ONLY reason I did not run into this exact same issue.

I think the real issue is the Devs most likely think we'll have the hand harvester to get into the Epoxy room at the green house. Which as we veteran players know is the end of the current story content.

The problem is most of the ship building content we have is past that point. So we are forced to rushed to the end of at content just to try the new farming content.

best way is to produce it yourself. same with the other stuff. They hired the production of mostly everything. in the first version you just produce 1. now 5.

Sorry to be that guy, but you don't need the hand harvester to access the garden tower room with the handful of epoxy. What you really need is to add a couple extra vertical turbines so you can move your airship high enough to get LOS on it, and then use your ship mounted harvester to strip all the panels off that blocked room. Just being able to barely land on the lowest landing platform isn't enough to get LOS on that room. You might as well add the extra turbine+ anyway, since it makes it easier to strip most of the materials off the entire garden tower from the airship. That's a lot of glass and a fair amount of metal on offer.

there's alot of epoxy in the green hoses and under dust check in and around barrels and boxes

I did it differently, I realised I needed more epoxy once I was in the underdust and the lab mission had spawned. Instead of completing it, i left and went hunting for more, even though I'd taken the towers power supply, the mission ! marker kept it on my radar. When I went back, all the mats had respawned and moved around. I now had enough epoxy to finish it.
I also now have 2 boxes filled with crystals, there was so much of it

I'd love to produce it myself. However, to be able to produce it myself, I'll have to get past the "killer flowers" so I can harvest plant resin, first. Now, in order to get past them, I need the hypothermia booster. In order to make the hypothermia booster, I need the virus analyzer. For the analyzer, I need - correct me if I'm wrong - among other mats 6 epoxy: 1 for the research, 5 for actually building that thing. I'm now on my third greenhouse and got a whopping 4 epoxy.

And then you need even MORE epoxy if you wanna build the upgrade station (which makes sense to build since better turbines and engines are just - well, better). And also, that ship building thingy for furniture. Which makes sense, too, cos with that, you can make shelves to pop your bajillion of boxes on so they don't stand in the way anymore.

TL;DR - a little more epoxy at either the greenhouses or the underdust upper level would be nice ...

You can get epoxy all throughout the world, without the underdust.
