Menengitis cure a little too awkward?
its like 3 items that are pretty rare come from different places and all perish i managed to get one but it went rotten before i found the others and frankly im bored of flying around trying to cure this and its too annoying to ignore.

All 3 items you will find at the tall glass greenhouse with the 2 landing platforms, plus (unlimited so far) dirty water.

Search all those ? locations. You will find a freezer, and then this will all go away.

Caution: Large Freezer require Freezer to make.

Wait. Is the Freezer in a tower or the dust?

The 'broken' Workstation was in the upper (landing) area of the dust tower I just visited ( i am a bit xxx now because I went back to my ship after initial under dust tunnel visit, not getting the mantis glands, and my hyp.booster is almost out ). The freezer, large and small were high windmill tower "?" on the map. I have not found the shelving unit, nor the large storage box yet, and I can not see any other question marks on the map either.

If by "shelving unit" you mean the wall-mounted cabinet, fly far enough away to generate a new map area and look for question marks (also maybe check your database to make sure that you haven;t landed on that tower type already but neglected to scan the thing). If you mean the floor racks that you can stack chests on, they come from blueprint chips and it's pure RNG what those give you, so just explore random towers until you get one of the racks.

The large storage box is in the basic underdust area, behind a wall you need to deconstruct and an iceflower you need a hypothermia boost for.

The basic freezer can be obtained before going into the Underdust.

There is a ceiling mounted 'modern Shelving' unit from data pads found, as well as the regular floor shelve and the wall mounted one. Also I found 3 different smaller wall mounted single shelves.
In regards to the freezer, I actually found the broken large freezer (in a tall tower) before the basic one lol.
Keep forgetting about the large box though, have been in 2 underdust areas for more Medical Reagent and crystals. If I am not mistaken that area behind the iceflower holds a lot of resin flower pods as well.
And yes, best advice I was given before: choose a direction (I chose North) and keep flying towards it, checking all nearby locations. All the new shelves and a hanging lead zeppelin found this way.
But: all the question marks are gone from the map after the first underdust visit.

Keep in mind, that wiki is fan made and hasnt been updated in some time.

You find the Basic Freezer at the Command Centre, which is a variant of a Wind Farm.

I want to add my agreement with OP. The freezer is a good mid-late game solution which stops components from rotting (at least the large one, last I tested the default-sized freezer is bugged or just slows it down a minute amount). Given how early you are exposed to Menengitis the solution seems to be "die and respawn" and not "process 2 plants" because they don't always spawn in the same greenhouse point, which means there's no certainty in how to cure it early-game. I think some kind of basic immune-booster that temporarily halts diseases and their symptoms for some number of hours would be a good, very early-game solution.

ive just landed at the location but didnt have time to get it.

the in game scan completion tab didnt tell me i missed anything because you have to find the location for it to be listed.

so i have been to various greenhouses got many diseases most expired had chronic meningitis for days as i went to the underdust and well the story happened.

this forum told me of an item that made it practical or maybe even feasible to keep the ingredients . the wiki told me about the command centre variant.

but the game simply hadn't spawned it for me so i set off , about half an hour of flying straight i start to see some new town structures come into a view and ? appears on the mini map.

theres quite a lot of obvious ways this could be smoothed out if you think thats a bit of a design oversight.

Yeah, I udnerstand what you mean. It might tell you that you've found everything on the locations you've explored but the locations % wont be sat at 100%, which sort of tells you that you HAVENT found everything.

We could list the amount of variants there are to find for Radio Towers and Wind Farms, but then people might complain about spoilers haha.

Still, there might be better ways to explain this to players then spoiling just how many locations there are to find.

the game is divided up into stages or tiers as it is with some no return points, you could also just have missed tech from previous tiers start to show up in the random data cards or be repeated in later structures, there could for example be a freezer next to the virus analyzer

just a thought ;)

That is something i suggested to production a while back ;)
Dont worry, we have plans.

In terms of getting tech and blueprints, there are no "no return points"; if you fly around enough, lower-tier towers will continue to spawn. You can always get any early blueprint you missed, you just have to find the right type of tower.

which is exactly what i had to do in the end.

by no return points i was talking in the story.. Something gets reduced at very specific points and theres no undoing it , the rules have changed , each time could be used to separate tiers of tech.
