Game crashing on launch??

Game launches, I see the Early Access screen for a brief moment, then it crashes. When trying to launch the game again, it provides the following error:

Couldn't Start:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ForeverSkies\ProjectZeppelin\Binaries\Win64\ForeverSkies-Win64-Shipping.exe" Project Zeppelin
Create Process() returned 2.

I went to this location, and did not find an .exe file, and instead I found a .pdf file by the same name.
I verify game files, and it says ONE file was invalid and will be redownloaded. Then, Steam just hangs, it never actually redownloads the file - despite it saying "download pending".

Uninstall/reinstall does not fix, nor does restarting my computer. Antivirus is not an issue unless your game has malware in it? I've had the same antivirus for over 15 years and it's never interfered with launching any games.

Devs, help me fix this so I don't have to refund? I'd like to play this game?

Hi, please add the game to the exceptions in your antivirus software and then try again. The game has no malware in it, antivirus software is unfortunately often triggered by games and adding the application to the exceptions helped others with cases of the game crashing/not launching. We will try to resolve this with the next updates so it doesn't happen again.

Yikes, thank you for your response but I'm going to let my Antivirus do its job. I'll refund instead. Thanks!

Hi there! I'm actually still having issues with this and making an exception didn't work. Is there any chance there's anything else I can try to make my game work?
