Not fun anymore :-(
Sadly am going to give up on this game for awhile [maybe permanently] as it used to be easily achievable and a fun experience but has now turned into a very frustrating slog when I seem to spend most of my time trying to stay alive! I've loved the many, many hours I've played previously and am sad to go but it really is getting depressing now. Good luck to you all and I hope you can keep the fun part alive

One shot down, the next!!! And here's another one that couldn't stand the terrible conditions with a refrigerator full of food and water, but a construction site, windings in the sky and infernal dust. Poor people))))))

Not sure why you would be struggling to stay alive.
You need synthetics and metal to make a simple lure, which you can use to get food. And you need synthetics to make water condensers, which gives dirty water that can be purified.

Whats the issue?

Thanks for the response and totally agree with the basics but the issues for me is the drastic drop in immunity post under dust. I need more manta cysts, to get them I have to go down into the under dust again to get them, which will give me another 3 but the protection I get from the vacs is only temporary, plus on the last play I discovered the overgrown lift site, got in and found to access the lift I needed an advanced pass - which the dead guy was supposed to have the plans for but didn't, and I need to find the control center windmill which seems to have disappeared totally!! On top of all this I just feel now that I'm constantly chasing and not getting anywhere .... It just goes on and on and I've got to the stage now when I have to say F it and walk away. Don't get me wrong, its a good game BUT it really has got way beyond the easy mode I play on ... which, in all honesty, I did enjoy because it was achievable and fun.

So, the main reason for this post is to alert Greg [dev] and the rest of the team that they may need to review easy mode now [in my opinion only] and in the most polite way I can. Easy mode should be achievable to the slowest player and, at 70 yrs old, I admit to not being the sharpest or brightest tool in the box these days ..... but I still enjoy my games and get a buzz from progress made ..... when I only feel frustrated and depressed its time to walk away but I care enough about this one to give the devs a heads up if you like.

Im sorry to hear you're struggling. So from what I understand, you have no issues with the food and water situation, but instead the lower immunity level?

The immunity is story-related only, the only way it makes the game harder is that you can get chronic diseases instead which means, you need to use medicine instead of waiting the disease out.

As for the advanced pass, you research and craft it. There is a blue PDA to pick up to the left to the lift door (on a shelf) and this gives you the data to create it.

I hope this helps.

Bless your heart Greg thank you for getting back to me and I might/probably will start a whole new game in the future - maybe story driven/maybe not but at the moment the fun elements have gone so, for my own sake, I need to take a step back and play something easy that I know I can succeed at.
Just take this as a heads up alert as I've seen and heard quite a few moans lately on the difficulty level so maybe it may be worth considering dropping the immunity to medium on the easy mode? Plus some labels on major bases would be a welcome bonus lol. I've loved my time with you guys, you know that, and I wish you nothing but success and good things for the rest of your life xx

Hey, just wanted to echo Gregs' sentiment that the immunity is effectively negligible. Once you craft the medical bed you can get 100% immunity for free just by resting at full HP. And all it does is make you have to be safer about what you eat/drink and where you step, as you can't get diseases from anything but uncooked food, dirty water, and insects

Edit: I've re-read some of your posts and I think you're referring to the Hypothermia Boosters to get past the flowers. Those are kind of a pain to make, I agree, but you don't need them for many situations. The blueprint you're looking for to get down the Overgrown Lifts are past some of the flowers in the Tunnels, just got to explore some more down there, once you get that blueprint you never NEED hypothermia boosters again, though the larger "Suburbs" do have those same flowers, you can just walk around them without the booster.

Thank you SO MUCH for this but the biggest problem I've struggled with is/was getting the mantra cysts, which you have got to get for the seed things to operate the bed and harvest them beforehand. [groan]

In all honesty I probably need to restart from the beginning - AGAIN - and play it better, ignore the 'to do' list and get as far as possible BEFORE the lift/underdust as I've missed some major stations and now have no idea where they even are! Such is life but thank you for taking the time to give me the kick I needed .... I'll get back to it :-)
