yeah I do too .. hard to use the 2 wide option cus my rooms are 3 wide. Just thought a giant glass in front would be cool. I'd probably still have a deck on each side somehow or a lower deck :D
So yeah it would be nice if the wall would disappear after adding both side by side to become a 3-wide. Anyway I still got the look I wanted until changed.
this^^^
I currently put it on the slanted window of the cockpit, but I would still rather have an adjustable radar stand, be able to position it to one side freely.
As for the original topic on a 3-wide cockpit; I agree having some option, either linking 1-wide cockpits or a larger semi-circular 3-wide cockpit would be great.
I ended up building my airship 4-wide instead of my original plan, because of the cockpit concern. A 2-wide main corridor, and 1-wide out to each side for rooms. (bed / kitchen on one side, storage and (to-do:) dining area on the other.)
I used the double. with double balloons. my ship is 4 units wide and the double is in the center of the balloons. it is a little big but a lot more room inside. I keep adding on too my airship. Not sure what i will do when farming is added.

I did find a way to use a double cockpit, using it with a double balloon, with the double in the middle and the balloons on either side (I'm guessing this was the intention). However, if the balloons could be attached between rooms somehow (say on the edge of a room), that would open up a ton of more builds.
