Report a translation problem
On your radar there are little white dots that trail behind your ship's icon, thus showing what direction you were heading in. If you stop somewhere else before you reach your target destination (which, again, is on you as no one's forcing you to make a side trip) just point your ship in the direction of your next goal before disembarking the ship to explore so you know what your original heading was.
