There is a lot more to come, but if they do not release updates fast and often, I think many will think the same as you.
Hoping there is plenty of oppertunity to extend gameplay via building, exploration and hoarding. Won't know till I'm not stuck at work.
Regardless, if your able to extract 1 hour per dollar I find that highly satisfactory. If not, well, that sucks I guess?
The mission hints lead a player by the nose and you can finish fast by just follow them. Maybe it would of been better to able to disable the 'missions' and just freeplay.
(5 hrs to the end for me but I will just park it up and wait for more, the 'bones' of the game is good)
Thanks for your feedback! There is more content on the way soon.
In the meantime, there are more locations for you to find. Look for the ?'s on the radar as these are all new location variants. Check your studies menu to see what % you have found of current location variants. Each type has new tech that you can find and craft. There are small towns, rooftop locations, command centres to find and more. Other than that, you can continue to find additional memory cards and build up your airship base :)
Yeah, we found we had to guide players more than we originally planned when we did playtesting.
Going forward, we would like to find additional modes that dont guide the player as much :)
Given the tutorial and few objectives that lead to you "the end," aside from venturing off & exploring other towers for things you wont even be using right now, there's really no point. Also, $1 per hour, would be just over $6 compared to the $29 they're asking.
Subnuatica & Below Zero are one of my fave games to date, and I really though this game was gonna hold a candle to it... boy was I wrong.
Dude, Subnautica had a very long Early Acess, cut some slack.
Did you play the very first release of Subnautica? Don't even think there WAS a story back then =)
You bought an Early Access game which means the game is not done yet. That's why it's short.
Its of course up to you.
We have launched Early Access with around 15 hours of content, more if you like base building with a lot more on the way.
You still have the option to refund now and perhaps purchase further down the line when we have even more content.
Its up to you, this is only the beginning :)
I see your point, but you're comparing two complete games to a day 1 Early Access game.
Subnautica and Below Zero are both awesome, as are Raft and Green Hell (our two other inspiration titles). We plan to continue developing Forever Skies in the same manner as they were developed.
I played both in EA, and they weren’t priced at $29 on EA launch and had more to do, that’s for a fact!
Or they could very well not.
Looking forward to seeing their roadmap.
