How do I get rid of stuff?

My useless extra oxygen bottles, a second football I don't want to keep. Can I recycle them somehow, or is my only real option to just leave them on a platform somewhere?

I have found you can click and drag the item you want to get rid of out of your inventory and drop it out side your ship. You will need to be on a Tower or catwalk to do this though.

For now there is no way to scrap them for parts, so you gonna have to drop them.
Maybe in the future they will add a machine that does that.

You have to be careful with this as drop it too close (even medium distance away) and the game thinks its still on your ship and will float along with you.

To be absolutely sure, take all your junk to a dust tower and put it in the crates on the elevator. That's what i do.

(there is rubbish bin/recycler planned for future update).
