The friendly insect is a pet, you can find a bp for a cushion on one of the locations and have it accompany you
ah dang i've already left there, thanks though. its a bit annoying that i scan it, and everything and i don't get a tool prompt or something, and have to look at one specific part of it.
ye no i can get that, thanks a bunch though. kinda annoyed i'm stuck with this pet though now.
So glad I checked for posts about the friendly insect, and found this thread.
Found the virus carrier, that was hard to see and I didn't see it on the first pass on my own.
The friendly insect looks similar to the carrier visual in the lab, that was part of my confusion.
I stuck the Friendly Insect in a storage box, until I get the pet bed.
You're not so much "stuck" with it, as once you find the bed (I forget which POI but it's easily found..maybe one of the little settlements) you can place it in your airship...or if you just hate it, you can probably drag and drop it to an empty bit of screen and drop it to the ground, although I don't know why you would lol. Now the football..every one of those has found a place on the ground.
i mean do i get something for putting it on the bed? seems like a waste of space. i'd rather eat it for a buff, or just toss it. like as you don't get why i don't want it, i guess you can say, i don't get why you would want to keep it? does it like, does it like restore energy if i interact with it on the bed once every so often?
no, it doesn't do anything for you. it just looks cool and cute.
It sleeps, rolls over on it's stomach, and stands up and stretches, then goes back to sleep. It's behavior is very "cat" like.
As with the little hanging things (football/lead zeppelin/posters) it's more of a decoration..but unlike those, it moves around on it's little pillow.
I understand what you mean about how it neither fishes nor cuts bait, so it's kinda useless on a fishing boat... it's a decoration... and I, too, tend to be very utilitarian. I don't loot posters as that's wall shelf space... but I did put the bug on it's bed in a corner window
You could always put posters on the ceilings ?.
