Hi, can you check if your character is infected with the vertigo virus? This still shouldn't cause any harm and if it does, I need to report this right away, but I need to know if this virus is the cause of the blurred image, or if there's something different that might be the reason.
everytime when i paused the game (aka hitting esc) went it back to normal, leaving the pause screen turned it back to blurry again. then i was trinking water and it disappered o_o.
the thing is, the virus bar on the bottom was at 80% (aka didnt hitted the first stage yet which it does at 75% where you get then notified via voiceline) so, i assume the 50% (which is the 2nd stage) triggered WAY too early and just updating it by eating or trinking something fixxed it in my case o_o.
Thanks for all the responses. I hope no one feels hurt or offended. That is not my intention. I'm just sharing what's happening to me and I think it's important since it's about the eyes. One hardly has anything more valuable.
I can add that it is not due to a virus. Not from dehydration or any other deficiency.
I am an experienced player. So I have several thousand hours of gameplay in several games. I have my game settings under control. Thanks for the advice and tips. Thank you <3
There would be little point in a screenshot as it would be far too small, or very blurry when enlarged.
It's like looking through an aquarium very slightly. It was only when looking closely at the objects that it became noticeable. Some, such as the note signs, are clear and distinct, but already the bed next door and very soft, the wall, the doors, etc..
There are things that are there quite clear and sharp.
After the game, I have problems recognizing my keyboard. Again today.
My eyes pinch together again and again, precisely because they want to recognize something clearly, which in turn causes the watering. It's like before I got a pair of glasses.
sometimes everything looks soft and fuzzy. it is only temporary and seems to be when boarding your airship when storms and lightning is happening.
i know getting infected has visual changes but i have noticed it often enough that it is not vertigo.
my airship has all walls, ceilings and floors glass for the panoramic views. i wondered if it was connected.
i play with everything on highest settings and it is a noticeable change in image sharpness.
I'm checking my video card, got all my 5 glasses and will now do the settings again.
It also seemed to me that this was mainly on board the ship.
I have about 1/4 glass
I looked very closely at the surfaces and edges and then noticed it.
When I reinstalled it again yesterday a very heavy storm effect disappeared. After about 20-24 hours of play, the storm caused massive graphics changes for me. It was like being on an LSD trip. Totally colorful neon colors everywhere ^^ After reinstalling the Effeckt was gone. Now I have rather storm sounds despite closed doors :)

Could you guys record your gameplay for a bit and send us video/videos to support@farfromhome.games of this problem happening? This would be the most helpful.

Motion blur off
30 game hours, "Day 22
i start on the ship, look around, everything seems very clear. i walk into the cargo area of my ship and it starts to get blurry. Only my dehydration has just entered the yellow area. i jump overboard. Everything in the blue area, same blur. It's a rather minimal blur.
I look through the cargo area to the controls, perceptible blur, although rather very little.
The right eye starts to water.
I stand at the door, behind me the cargo area, in front of me the living area and cockpit. I see the chair, which is definitely out of focus. Like through an aquarium. i look around, it seems like that all around. minimal, but unfortunately everywhere. My eyes start to squint to see sharper.
I test my 5 pairs of glasses.
No difference.
Health in the blue range. no virus.
I pause the game. The writing is clearly visible. Clear picture.
I abort.
I start the game again, this time with cheats.
Full health, God mode.
Same visual effects.
I'll try to make a video and send it to you. Please patience
In the meantime, I think I've managed to reproduce this bug. Could you check if pressing RMB while having the Airship Builder tool equipped and then closing it helps?
In the meantime I managed to create a video and send it to you today.
Creating a video like this is new for me and it took many tries.
I did the Airship Builder test. I did not notice any difference on my end.
But did it lead me to a different point of view. You hardly use sharp edges, plus shading, that probably makes it look blurry. I have in the video, however, also examples where it is actually blur to see. I chose only 2-3 examples. I went extra close to clarify the spots, but the impression is mainly from about 2m and more distance.
I don't think it is a program error.
After a while graphic errors creep in and become more pronounced, making the problem more obvious. I will try to make a video of it as soon as it is clearer to see. However, restarting the game usually fixes the problem completely.
I've found a different bug, then. :D
