Nameless Puppet feels unpolished
I've been playing the game and really enjoying myself.
I have issues with the game, how long I stand there like some kind of perma-helmeted fool when I hit the left trigger while Aegis is out of Legion, for instance.
Still I think it's really incredible overall.

However, the 2nd phase of the final boss is over-tuned. Some fans are conflating difficulty and poor design. This isn't a difficulty issue, it's one of poor design. It's unfortunate that the only real strategy I've seen for this fight equates to...

Run away and cheese the fight with as many throwables as you can stuff in your belt.

And that's the real issue. It's the strategy used for plenty of bosses, and it isn't because people need to "get gud"

thats a terrible strategy.

Learn to parry his first phase then just dash through every dual sword mode attack and parry the spear attacks in the second phase.

Save the throwables for when its almost dead

Lazily circling to the right of your opponent will get you through 90% of the fights. Sometimes you have to dodge even

Parry and dodge, like the game's tutorial showed you before Parade Master.

I will assure you I have not used a single throwable item to cheese that fight; there's a couple ways you can still demolish this boss with relative ease. It's a solid, difficult fight, moreso than the likes of Malenia.

I beat Romeo with Seven Coils Spring Sword. You just practice perfect guarding until his weapon breaks. Claiming he can only be cheesed is just wrong.

If you want to highlight a boss that is made of compressed stupid, i'd say swamp monster, but definitely not Romeo.

The 2nd stage of nameless puppet is not over tune.
In fact, is a very good 1 v 1 ultimate show down of 2 puppets.
A lot players with single dimentional mindset find him has issue.

But try do some different stuff, you will notice he is much managable.
Also, personal own skill problem is not game problem.
Be a responsible person and learn to recognize own weakness.

At the moment, the forum topic creator who complain mostly are the negative childish people who can never accept own fault.
This is another example

For anyone here with your "Anecdotal evidence"

Post the video or keep it to yourselves
I could easily post the footage of me getting wrecked but it's not like I really have much to prove there do I.. :pointless:

He tends to be weak to left dodges in his second phase. Especially his aerial attacks. He's hard, but quite polished in my opinion. But when I think of unpolished, I consider janky hitboxes, animations glitching, or some type of fatal error such as falling through maps.

Guy does all the work for you; breaks down what moves Nameless has, gives a quick "this is my loadout" if you wanted to respec, and while he uses Aegis, I confirmed he does not use the real cheese method.

Its insanely polished fight, in fact. People indeed need to "git gud" NP is in fact, about 30 times better designed and more polished fight than crap like Malenia.

You are 100% wrong...
Nameless puppet is actually a well designed boss fight, everything he does is well telegraphed. I beat him with the Frozen Feast in less then 10 tries...

Laxasia WAS FAR more difficult to beat and her phase 2 has FAR harder attacks to properly parry and dodge... She took me closer to 80 tries as I am too stubborn to cheese a boss with specter.

I think the reason some people find nameless is so hard is simply because they can't cheese it with a specter...

OP needs to Git Gud, he can't use a specter on the nameless puppet so it's too tough for him...

I think the reason everything things nameless is so hard is because they simply can't use specters on him....
I absolutely agree with this lol, I have fought Nameless for the first time in NG+ and I beat him in like 30-40 minutes, the next couple of ng+ he was dead within like 3 tries. I am very bad at thrse games, but I love them so it's not like I am super good, I am very far from being average and not very good lol

And yet there are MANY people who claim this boss as trash, shi**y designed, broken, etc.

Nameless Puppet is literally in top 3 best bosses in the game, Romeo, Green Monster and Nameless are imo the best bosses in this game (it's not in order btw).

This stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss is why I just broke my SECOND PS5 controller playing this game. I smashed the first controller on Black Rabbit Brotherhood part 2, and the 2nd one I smashed into tiny little pieces after failing to get the block or parry timing down for this boss. I almost kept going and smashed my keyboard and headset too. ♥♥♥♥ this game and these sick ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs. I put 50 hours into this game and I want my money and time back.
