Green swamp monster
So Phase 1 i am mostly fine with. No need for the Decay stacking and sometimes when he burrows block does not count when he comes up, but fine.
Phase 2: Does anyone honstly enjoy it? The repair tool is a must, the boss does not stop attacking basically, he can apply decay and the healthbar is massive.

So far the game was hard but fine for me. This bosses second phase is just no fun at all

I do. No, I'm not joking.

Parrying his jump attacks (which is sorta fun when you get into the rhythm), those overhead slams that he copies from Scrapped Watchman, and his charge attack does the job nicely.

Parry those attacks, keep your distance every other time to avoid occasional tentacle rape, and you're golden. Staggers for days.

Once you get phase phase 1 down summon to get to phase 2 quicker the more time you spend in phase 2 the more familiar and easy it will all get.

I was scared after reading everyone complaining about the difficulty for this thing, and then beat it yesterday with the 3rd attempt. I was basically always trying to be behind the thing in both phases, which worked surprisingly well. Just chop its back as much as you can, a few parries in between for getting to 1-2 fatalities... and for me i was done surprisingly fast with it.
Lunfinitys comment to keep your distance when you are infront of it worked for me well too. It has a bit of a reach with the tentacles, but just keep your distance and it won't be able to hit you, and when it jumps towards you, dash forward and try to get behind it.

Yeah he's pretty gnarly. It's about learning his start ups. When I saw him do this, I knew he was going to do that. So you know how to position yourself or if you needed to get ready to parry/dodge. One important one was knowing when he'd use his pincers to do that flurry. I'd either run or try to parry them. Same with his bull charge. I'd just run circles.

I don't know how many times I got hit by his extra tentacle attack in the second phase after the red slam before I stopped running into it.

Also for his first phase. When he goes underground, just run to the nearest "wall" face the battle field and simply hold block. That was my only reliable way of blocking that.

phase 2 is basically the boss you fight in chapter 1... you should be familiar with that attack pattern by now.

I enjoyed this boss more than I had expected. King of Puppets phase 2 is worse IMO

He felt a bit harder than the king for me because of the decay and some more mixups. But he has some big weaknesses when you get the timing down on some attacks.

King of Puppet phase 2 is very easy to parry. I broke his weapon before he wanted to Firesword dance and just interrupted that. But phase 2 of these guy that hits like a truck and can apply decay was zero fun to me. I beat him, no summons and no throwables but I 100% did not enjoy the design.

Seems like 2 different teams worked on bosses in this game...

I really enjoyed his phase 2, I felt like it was a proper Souls boss.

It's practically the same boss you fought much earlier in the game, with some added variations. You should already know most of his animations and patterns => why are you not parrying them ?

Learn the rest, put some fire on your weapon and be done with it.

I hate to say this, considering he was originally one of the bosses I hated but. I still hate phase 1. It's just so much 'eugh', I dislike it on principle by merit of squick. But once Phase 2 comes in and the tentacles are more under control, it actually turns surprisingly simple if you don't turn your brain off. It's basically just the Watchman+more, most combo ends have one last tentacle flail follow-up.. The decay flail is hugely telegraphed by him stopping dead and flipping over, basically going to hermit crab mode. After that he can only scuttle in a wide circle, so you can pretty easily go the opposite diagonal and dodge it, then land your hit of choice while it's flipping back over.

Honestly, building for Charge Attack Stagger in P-Organ, and using the heaviest highest damage Blunt head you have(I used the Electric Chainsaw blade for the electric blitz damage to kick his butt in phase 2 relatively easily), with a very light very quick smashing/chopping handle (Krat Baton, for example) works wonders on just demolishing his Stagger bar when you can get your short windows in to only use Charged Heavy attacks since they come out so quick and are one hit with minimal windup animation. Perfect Parry can stagger him out of a lot of attack chains for free damage since he'll just flop down for a second or two, and with some luck you can knock(not the Stagger break, but the animation where sometimes enemies will just reel back from your heavy attacks) him out of his more annoying attacks while he's winding up only to then break his Stagger for even more free damage and end with a Fatal Strike before he gets up.

All of this is even sillier with a Specter summoned, just bully both phases super hard.

When the second phase contorts itself to apply decay go back and right dodging. He will go left. You will avoid all decay this way.

He had some pop but then you realize he's a BloodBourne boss. Just Dodge a lot to the left. GG.

That only because you don't know how to counter the moves yet. Block the head on charges and its' three jump attacks and you'll have enough to stagger. Do not stay in close range with it.
