Critical Attack Question
So I feel a little stupid now, or maybe I shouldn't... but what are critical attacks and critical rates? Some weapons have critical rates while others do not. I equipped the assassin's amulet thinking it was essentially the hornet ring, but I don't see anything about boosting fatal attack damage.

Was I wasting an amulet slot on a weapon that can't do criticals? Or does it also apply to fatal attacks? Can't test it right now and I'm very curious about the answer. Thanks in advance!

Fatal ATK and Critical ATK are two different things, and the amulet increases the latter.

Not a lot of weapons have Critical chance on them, but there's a "Satisfaction Grindstone" which temporarily applies some Critical rate to any compatible weapon, and the amulet will increase the damage from Criticals in this case too.

EDIT: "Critical Rate" is basically a chance to do an increased damage on any hit, so the amulet boosts said damage even further.

One of the reasons why I'm enjoying my time. A lot of things feel familiar, but are not quite the same. You feel like you've seen it before and know how it works, but there's always a twist. Some times a great one, other times not so much, but a twist nonetheless. Love the experimentation.
