How does charge attack work?

There was this police man which got some perfect blocks from me, the his health turned to white.

Game told me to press R2 to stagger and kill him. Nothing happened.

Also I never got his Baton?

Can someone explain? thank you.

You need to hold R2, not press it. You have to charge your heavy attack.

And enemies don't drop weapons, you find them. Or buy them with boss ergo.

Some enemies drop weapons, including the baton. It's probably a later one that drops it.

Really? Then it has to be a late game thing, i'm at the swamp personally and i've never, ever seen an enemy drop a weapon. So i always assumed it wasn't a thing

R2 on PS5. His health was white. But I just pressed it. My mistake I guess.

I have an XBox Controller and have the same question. When the bars turn white I can't seem to do the right thing.

RT yes. If you just press it once it'll do a regular heavy attack, hold it until it releases on it's own = charged heavy attack.

It's earlier in the game if I remember correctly. Do you remember the lady in the window that wanted you to return her baby? There was an officer there that dropped his baton. Check your weapon assembly. If you disassembled it, the weapon won't show up in your inventory unless you re-assemble it in some manner.

That weapon is actually dropped by an identical enemy in the Elysion Boulevard.

Is it a guaranteed drop? But yeah I remember that quest. You mean the one down there in the square plane right? It's been a bit so I might've just skimmed over it.

It's the one as you're en route to rescue Dadpetto. You may have just ran by it since it's optional to kill it.

Oh no i've killed it, I kill everything in my path at least once, I think I just forgot he dropped anything since i've never had a weapon drop since then.. I think

But I do have the baton so, hah
