the best weapon is what you are most comfortable with. no, Im not being sarcastic. the feeling of a weapons attack pattern, how comfortable you are with using it is the biggest factor in a successful run.

With that being said, the Bishop is nerfed to the ground, kill it finally, the fight now is beyond easy.

I built into dex, so not sure if this applies to you but I had decent luck with the Etiquette special weapon and the salamander dagger. For 1st phase apply burn with dagger and then swap to Etiquette. for 2nd phase use the fire grindstone with Etiquette. Alternatively booster blade handle plus Wrench head is also decent if you are specced into dex, but is a tad slow.

What exactly are you using? Your stat distribution may also tell us a few things.

The trick i found for phase 2 is to run around behind him, then you just fight the ole p head like in phase 1 with a couple changes.

So what are your stats? Seeing how you've got only 6 hours of playtime, I have a feeling you're just way too underleveled for this fight.

Archbishop is a hurdle. Technically it's weak to fire damage, but electric damage does just as well.

Don't ignore your throwable weapons. Sometimes you can't get close to it, so you can hurl stuff at it instead. They do very solid damage, more than you'd expect. Outside of that it's learning the patterns, perfect blocking sometimes, dodging sometimes, and making it work in a whole song and dance.

the boss weapon greatsword with hooks

Flame Grindstone and a quick weapon does a good job. I used the Wintry Rapier and Salamander Handle with a Flame Abrasive to apply it to phase 1, then the grindstone and the rapier for phase 2, and otherwise used the Booster Glaive blade stapled to the Puppet Saber handle to just do chunks of damage and have a competent swing speed. Your build may vary, but one thing to think of is that I've found that sometimes it's better to use a an offhand you don't quite have the muscle for if it means you can quickly apply a status that an enemy's weak to.

In Andreus' case, Burn *annihilates* his HP bar, or at the very least is incredibly welcome damage.

Pre-nerf - For me, it was a stabbing weapon / rapier.

I was using a greatsword against him at first, but was failing at the second fight. It wasn't until I switched to a rapier that I beat him. Stab stab stab stab stab stab stab, gtfo. Rinse and repeat.
