My bonesaw+booster handle out damages it by a good amount and yes i have both upgraded at the same level.
Elemental weapons should be strong, with the right investment. Its a nice weapon but other options (most certainly with grinder stuff) are very viable.
I dont have that yet but the booster handle being technique saved me. The sweet part is i still get the fatal of the greatswords with the bonesaw. So i hit like a truck on those. God forbid i put a grinder to it.
The throwables are crazy strong, i love em, i go back to that merchant every level up to use what i have spare to buy more.
Also i just tried the dancer curved sword, that moveset is sweet. So now it has me wandering what would be fun to attach to that handle. Dam i love this system.
Also, a lot of non-elemental weapons do far more damage than their elemental counterparts simply because this game has souls-tier scaling. Meaning a split damage weapon is actually detrimental due to two levels of resistance being applied to it. So, unless you're hitting with weaknesses even with the electric shock debuff you're going to be sucking eggs for damage compared to Mr Caveman who grabbed a giant pipe wrench and just went unga bunga on the robots.
This deranged syndrome of "I do it with one hand tied behind my back" that perpetuates Souls-like game forums is mind-boggling.
Just do not use the weapon you consider OP, do not call for nerfs.
Just asking is it taking much spotlight of other weapons.
I just saw I forgot to mention is very very useful in early game.
I myself using acid spear and flame dagger after get it.
Also - fighting the "Corpses", it is fine on the weaker guys, but it doesn't do well with staggering the big bois. The handle art is super handy also, but the charge I literally never used. Though I annihilated the Harlequin puppet thing in CH7 - however, he didn't stagger once; I hit him with 3 fire grenades, a heavy, the roll fable art, and kept going without letting up, he still just kept coming - so it might not be great for stagger later on for elite enemies (the featureless mannequins also seem to be a bit beefy against it).
However - I just ended my relationship with Coil, and started a new one with Puppet Ripper. No inherent element, but it has reach and a heavy that don't quit.
It's like going to Elden Ring forum and suggesting a nerf to Lordsworn's Straight Sword.
"Damn all these trolls who don't agree with me!", amirite?
