What's everyone build so far?
Here's what mine looks like:

Focusing early on Vigor and Stam helped lots early game for me. This is probably the safest way I play Dark Soul. Always level up Vigor and Stam and have minimum stats for starter weapon until I hit soft caps then figure out which weapon to marry myself to.

You don't really need much vigor. I'd rather dump some of that into capacity and not be heavy rolling.

How's the elemental build by the way?

It sucks butt except versus zombies, who are insanely weak to fire compared to other things' weaknesses.

I don't know playing some of the early bosses with not a lot of HP would be kind of hard for me lol. Plus since I don't know the game I couldn't figure out what build I wanted to play. Thus I spent the majority of my levels in Vigor and Stam - Health and Stam always a safe bet in these types of games. Though that is a good point about heavy rolling. I've just been blocking attacks and parrying what I can.

It's not a bad move, I've just never really been out of stamina ever, and have way less vigor than that.

Conversely, not being able to roll quickly would be a much bigger problem, and being "slightly heavy" is pretty bad roll-wise.

-20 VIT
- 15 VIG/CAP/MOT
- 9 TECH
- 10 ADV
- Seven-Coil Spring Sword +2
- Mostly using "Puppet String" for an arm because I'm a filthy Devil Bringer fan.
- Life Amulet + Carrier's Amulet (aiming for Extreme Modification Amulet when I get more max equip load)

I don't care if TECH weapons are generally better. Charged heavies on this sword and "Seven Explosions" deal so much damage it's a certified nut material.

Nice d00d! Hope you're enjoying it.

tried to go quality build so i could use most of the weapons

then the game turned out to have a dumb weapon upgrade system that forces you into using only a couple weapons

Ahaha. Yeah I was thinking Quality too; but then I looked at the stats and I couldn't figure out which is Strength and which one is Dexterity. I didn't feel comfortable spending valuable levels on a stat that would later turn out to be a mage stat, or some sh1t like luck stat, lmao. The UI really could have benefited from Tool Tips on what each stat does.

I most definetely am. Not without some mildly infuriating moments here and there, but it wouldn't be a "soulslike" game if such moments weren't present, I reckon :monokuma_DGR:

Brother if you looked at the screen and automatically knew that Motivity is strength and Technique was Dex on your first launch of the game, then god bless for being smart.

You can try this build for weapons of your choice. Based on your state, you'll probably focus on Motivity, which is suitable for this build.

The introductory weapons when you decide the initial stats make it pretty damn clear, my man.
