P is slow and cluncky AF
I expected something like bloodborne movement, maybe a bit less since bosses are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ agile. It feels very frustrating to have such long animations u.u

If anything, bloodborne is more slow and clunkier.

Same here, no clunkiness at all. Are you sure you aren't overweight? Keep yourself under 59%.

For me it's not clunky but the movement seems slower? Really hard to describe but parrying and dodging feels wrong because the enemy tend to hold back a few seconds before attacking.

This is a gameplay design pattern to catch player off guard or force player to play better.
You can't judge a game by "attack animation should be something in my expectation and my imagination".

The right thing to do is catch the timing after saw the attack few times and remember it.

Animations are overall on par with Fromsoft's in terms of clunkiness. If you feel slow you're either overweight, using a very slow weapon, or you're imagining it.

It's not clunky at all. Try switching out your weapon or checking your equip load.

Really funny that you went defensive on neutral comment. I'm just relaying my impression.

Anyways since you ask for it, I'll judge the game. The animation tend to hold back really contradict with the whole parry and sidestep style they go for imo. That's why it felt wrong to me. If they went for ds roll and block system it's fine, but parry and sidestep works better with fluid movement like sekiro.

Weapons are hit and miss, some feel really terrible and unfun, others are great to play with.

Most boss weapons are OP and feel nice to play, you can also make a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of fluid, fast and responsive feeling weapons if you experiment with handle/shaft setups. I didn't experiment too much with the mechanic in NG, but still had an electric coil head/acidic handle and it worked really fine for me.

Boss attacks have preload and release phase.
you have to deflect when the preload -> changes to relase phase.

now ofc preload is different length for every attack.
but inside the attacks it is consistent.
so the same attack always has the same preload length.

This enables a smooth learning curve for players that have a brain

Putting a lot of hours before critic=you must enjoy the game

It's definitely slow but I would not call it clunky at all try playing Lords of the Fallen 2014 and you will know what clunky is or Red Dead 2 is also a good example of what clunky it, the slow part though is most likely on purpose they just wanted a more slow and methodical play style like the first Dark Souls as compared to say Bloodborne.
