Lies of P
This is how you optimize a game
I am so impressed with the performance. Keep in mind that this is Unreal Engine 4, the same engine Jedi Survivor and Hogwarts Legacy are using. Those of you who played these titles know how bad these ports were and mostly still are. Lies of P runs at locked 175 FPS with zero stutters at all times and it looks fantastic at the same time. Especially in HDR on my AW3423DW OLED. So THANK YOU dear devs for this amazing pc version and for ultrawide support! This is how you do it.

Indeed, I'm impressed. Runs really well and seems fun.
beside optimization the problem of those game is denuvo, thats why they run like trash no matter what pc you have
Yep, very well optimized. Nearly steady 120fps at 1080p on high settings with DLSS Quality on the RTX 2060 and a quad core CPU. And looks great too.

People really love to trash on denuvo in terms of performance, hmmm? Yet I have yet to see the objective proof that it drasticaly affects performance of every game that it's included in.
also runs great on Steam Deck.
My wife has a GTX 1080 on her machine and it's running fantastically. Stutters with textures on high or best though at 1440p. She only monitors her FPS rather than memory usage etc so not sure if the VRAM issues are poking their head up above the waterline again on 8GB or less cards.
runs pretty good on my 2080 + 5800x3D on 1440p best settings. even without DLSS on Quality, the fps are +60. DLSS on quality, runs smoothly
Runs at 130 to 144 FPS on a 3060 Ti + Ryzen 5 2600X (1080p resolution). I didn't change any options except motion blur (that means everything is on High). Both parts are at around 67 C to 70 C. Games that look worse and demand less tend to run far worse (regardless of release date) while using basically no resources. Surprising to see such good optimization. No stutters or drops. Buttery-smooth gameplay. I'm truly pleased.

To add: This thing runs better than basically everything that got released in recent memory. They actually optimized it extremely well, I admit. This is what AAA gaming SHOULD be like. Not some half-assed sh*t-tier "AAA game" like Redfall or Gollum.

PS: Later on swapped to all "Best" options and just played like that. still 100 to 120 FPS without any issues. Finished the demo. Was quite good, not gonna lie.

absolutely fantastic performance, devs please take note, THIS is how you optimise a game

Exactly and the fact that the games you mentioned also use UE4 leaves literally no excuses for these other devs. They should ask the Lies of Pi devs now how to use UE4 since they seem to be the only ones able to optimize a AAA game using this engine and looking great at the same time.

there is a lot of videos on yoube that you can watch
take this one for example, was the first one on the list

also there is a lot of fun playing a singleplayer games offline with denuvo, oh i forgot, you can't
Denuvo is like a 5fps hit the problem is devs/publishers if you blame denuvo the problem is still devs/publishers for buying a license to use it.
Yeah while some mechanics are questionable the optimization is really amazing, very well done

Yea, Hogwarts Legacy, a game so unoptimised that it doesn't surprise me that devs implemented denuvo poorly (if it even is a denuvo issue here to begin with), great example
In games this should be the default...
