UNREACHABLE BY PALS
THIS IS GETTING EXTREMELY ANNOYING. PLEASE FIX THE PATHING IN THE NEXT UPDATE. MY LUNARIS CANNOT REACH THE SECOND FLOOR OF MY 3 STORY BASE EVEN THOUGH IT HAS PLENTY OF ROOM.

are the stairs single wide or double wide? Single wide might not be considered wide enough for the large pals.

Also might need enough clearance above the stairs/floor.

single wide. I'll try to make room for a double wide
I've had a similar problem with a Gryzzbolt in my base. He couldn't reach the second floor to do crafting, so he basically told everybody else it was unreachable.

I banned him from crafting since.
I have a similar weird problem.
Every time i log in ALL Pals keep getting ported to the palbox. They just port from the left side to the right side of the palbox.
The logging, stone or ore side isnt reachable after joining the server even tho most pals dont work at them so they all bug out.
IF i rebuild those 3 buildings they suddenly start to behave normally again doing there jobs.
Sometimes its the freezer or the forge but rebuilding the offensive building once fixes it for me.

Had this problem deleted it and started working again. So don't think it's an issue with my base. I really think the pathing sucks, Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
none of my pals can go upstairs either.
I build up to 3 Stairs (3 time 3) and it is a Pain. And also 3 in High and this can still be locked by bildigs. But lead to other problems. :) like stucking in the Stairs etc. .... Care entrance need also extra Space. Also no food near the Stairs .....

We talkin Lunaris - they not that wide, bro. xD
But I only have this issue when i place stairs too close to terrain stuff like rocks, even when the stairs are above them, it seems to impact pathing.
A LOT in this game has weird and broken collision, I can only imagine how bad the navigation mesh is on top of that stuff.
I think most problems in Palworld come from how they made the map from thousands of pieces with bad geometry stacked together and smushed into each other.
A lot of the rocks and what not needs fixing across the entire map.
The desert and Volcano are so bad you can't even build a base on most places there becasue of the completely messed up geometry.
Had the same problem, then tried adding more pillars (you can put pillars where walls connect to each other, so it seems walls don't count as support) and I guess it seems that the large ones won't go up to floors without sufficient support.
Stairs have rarely worked for me since the minor patch. Pals simply cant go up or down them despite having no problems before the last fix.
using huge boss pals i just make things in 3s.

-3 walls high
-3 stairs wide
-3 open slots above the stairs.

no issues so far other then just simply bad ai pathing which is usually caused by torch stands that i forgot to get rid of. or stuff near the pal box

I've learned to not trust the geometry in this game, and until the funky hitboxes and pathfinding improves I refuse to invest much time in base aesthetics. Everything I want a Pal to operate gets shoved outside in the wide open with nothing else nearby. Even so, I've still run into Pals getting stuck on beds or the feedbox and not warping to the box like they're supposed to when they're stuck. Sometimes the pathfinding just breaks, it happens.

your pals need stairs to break? Lol, i have a base with 90% of the structures built near the edge so the middle is as wide open as possible, and my worker pals STILL get stuck and can't figure out how to path to anything half the time. Pathing has always been awful in palworld
I think it's weird I keep getting "table unreachable by pal so it's working in place" and yet, it's standing right in front of said table.

I just tested this. My normal-size pals can reach it fine. But to note, my entire base has a stone foundation because in the past, if I had any structures on the normal ground and I went somewhere distant, my base would break down and all my pals would start to starve, but when I got back and fixed the issue of missing pals (underground?), and unsummoned and resummoned the pals, then I would often get a bug where all pals were constantly resummoning themselves, leaving me no choice but to restart the game to fix it.



While making one huge foundation did solve several problems, you got several more where simply putting items too close to each other could cause the pals to not be able to path to it randomly; the large pals are a problem since their size alone causes glitches, and the developers should add an option to shrink big mobs while in base areas.
