Beam Sword is so bad!

Please remove the animation of the Beam Sword, make it act like a regular sword, this is just a waste of materials right now. Me and the wife sadly did not find this out before we both had one made in our multiplayer game.
We might just suck at the game, but hitting anything that moves with the sword as it is now is just impossible, i manage to get in a hit every now and then but it's too much of a hassle, i'd rather be able to box my target for 1-dps than this useless thing

underwhelming for sure, imo it would be better using the standard swing animation with the slash being a hard hitting special move with a cooldown, but hey the game is in EA and has had some great updates so far- this beam sword sadly fell short.

Yeah, it and the katana are basically unusable with that animation.

fill out the feedback form in the game itself, I've done so and the more of us that do, the more likely they are to fix this.

right now m2 "zooms" in, why would I need to zoom in with a sword? lol

This would definitely be a great improvement.
Give it a little more damage to boot (or the nromal swings less damage) and you basically have light and heavy attacks. Maybe even a charge up attack.

Yeah I don't disagree but in the options menu there's a button that says report bugs & feedback, tell them there

Yeah, that was my experience with it as well.

"Oooh, Katana!" then, "Crap. I can't use this thing."

Then a little later...

"Oooh, Beam Sword!" then, "Crap, it's just like the Katana."
