drop down and keep foundation attached?
I'm trying to build all my foundations attached so that my 1st and 2nd floors are all attached, I chose a really hilly area for this particular base, so one side is much taller than the other. I need half the foundations at one height and the other foundations at a lower height, I can't seem to find a way to accomplish this thought creating a separate detached set of foundations, any assistance would be appreciated.

Maybe build around a bit with roof platforms and staircases?

Build foundations on the lowest point, put a few staircases at or before the point where they start sinking into the landscape.
And then connect roof platforms to the staircases if you can't directly connect foundation blocks to them (I know for sure they connect to roof platforms if the foundation block can also reach the floor.)

At least that way it'll stay 1 structure.

More kinda need a half staircase. The roof solution doesn't work well as it causes vertical build issues by saying unsupported structure once you get off the ground floor
did you try building down using ladders to snap the foundation to? they snap in the center should work.

It lowered the foundation to low in a few areas, it's a good trick though
