if anything, nintento would probably get the rights to anything pokemon related, which may include the way how pokemon (in this case, pals) are caught, or designs based on pokemon.
at the very least, palword just has to change some stuff if nintendo wins, they aren't going to be forced to shut down

It can be anything and honestly for my point of view, they can sue them for stealing assets from games. seeing how close some pals are to pokemon, they can have just grab the 3D files from a game and modify them / fuse them to make a pal
We can't really know what's happening until we have more infos from one side or another.
I love Nintendo products, but this is literally Nintendo saying no one else can be like Nintendo, and it sucks.
