Breed a ton of them so you can full compress them, and better yet breed them with good work-based passives. Fully compressed Vixy work faster (I think) and can find higher tier spheres, which I think sell for more.
You can just leave them on ranch to their own devices while you go do other stuff, then come back every now and again and be like "Whoa, my chests are all overflowing with stuff!" It's great.
I do recommend having your chests in your base configured for what's allowed to be stored in each so you can control exactly where all the items your Vixy dig up go, that way you won't have to hunt all over for the items in various chests. Otherwise, just put a few chests right up next the the ranch and most of the stuff will go in the nearest one.
Hope this helps!
Breed until you get two philanthropists and you'll be swimming in gold in no time.
You may be reluctant to sell such powerful spheres, but you will find that catching pals with weaker spheres is not too troubling and even recommended since my following suggestion is to immediately buy ~300 regular spheres and begin mass-catching for exp.
There are two steps to preparing for a gold farm, though:
Ranch for these as early as possible since they're the only item worth ranching period. Your future wealth will validate this...
In-between this, I also recommend favoriting and breeding all Noble and Fine Furs to create 5 Noble | Fine Fur pals. They all stack, giving you a total of 40% off on purchases and 40% onto your sale prices. Legendary Spheres are now worth almost 7k each. So at a bulk sale of 100 spheres, that's 450,000 vs. 700,000 gold coins per sale.
Even without the noble | furs, the purchase-value of Legendary Sphere ingredients still net you value by selling 1 sphere, but ideally you never have to bother with that. I only ever use a 1~2 star Kelp | Dumud and I rarely run out or have a need for money despite replacing my entire farm with the new food items at shop.
Vixy was indeed a pleasant surprise. I never ran out of palspheres now and I can save those blue ores for something else. I don't really like to bother myself mining them manually.
I still don't know what "disassembly" is and I haven't captured a mimic once. Those suckers run like Usain Bolt and disappear.
Tbh, I didn't know things like mini-bosses on the map (like chillet) respawn, What I do know is that Penking and even tower bosses do. Thanks again for the info guys. The game is pretty fun as there is a lot of things to do - all in different genres. (shoot, catch, build, automate, defense, etc.) Every session has been fun to play.
Awesome! Glad you're having fun with it all.
To answer some of your questions, the "disassembly" thing is a facility that you can unlock/build that you can put pals in to butcher. I'm not sure how it works 'cause I've never done it myself, but think of it like a major upgrade to the butcher knife.
To catch mimics, all you need to do is keep some wood and fiber in your inventory (or go mine/chop some from trees nearby when you find a mimic) and build four palisade/wooden walls (should be unlockable fairly early on) around the mimic before attacking it- then it shouldn't be able to get away.
Condensing, in case you don't know, is another facility (condenser) that you can eventually unlock that allows you to combine multiple pals (of the same species) into one and increase their stats and the level of their partner skills. A couple fully condensed Vixy can rarely dig up red or yellow spheres, more blue spheres than you'll know what to do with, and enough green spheres to make those your norm instead of blue.
Obviously you'll need a good cake farm before you can breed enough Vixy to condense (unless you feel like manually hunting and catching 64 Vixy each time you want to condense one!), but it sounds like you're on you way to do that. Once you can stockpile enough ingredients to make a large cakes at once you can set them cooking and just gather them a few at a time as they get done. Cakes, when stored in the breeding ranch, do not spoil, which works out nicely. Also, no food begins to spoil until it has been gathered from the cooking station, which is a good way to "store" it (by never gathering it) if you don't have room or you don't need a lot yet. :)
Whatever you do, take it in stride and have fun!
I WAS WONDERING WHAT THIS DID! I never would've thought it'd discount buying and improve selling! Wowie!
And if you level the Mimogs to 30+ before slaughtering them, you'll also get Training Manual (XL) every time. More of an endgame strategy, but leveling them takes some 4-6 kills at Sakurajima Island. Take four into your party and ride out on Shadowbeak, mow down a few enemies with Assault Rifle etc. and then go back, swap to a new patch of Mimogs and repeat. Once all are 30+, go and throw them in the disassembly for coins and manuals. Then use those manuals to level your kill squad for Bellanoir Libero / Blazamut Ruy to 55 fast.
I've got one base with two Philanthropist Mimog couples producing them for an endless supply of Training Manuals and gold.
True, but not remotely efficient.
I actively steal from ranches that are ignored on servers and the amount is pennies. Even the cotton candy item has more value in the ranch than a Mau now and even at 4 stars its still not good.
Wait... You STEAL stuff!?! How dare you! :O
some elixir sells for 400k so that would be the fastest way to obtain blueprints and elixirs and gold.
