Why is the Claim Radius a Circle?
Hello as the title says i am wondering why the claim Raius is a circle?

you Foundations are Square so why isnt your claim rad square? in my Opinion this has to change you lose a lot of space if you build a square into the circle but you cant realy well utilize the fields that are out of it ... so pls add round foundations so we can use the circle completly or make it square.
Thanks!

In my Opinion a Tile Claiming like V-Rising has would be much better so you could adjust your base to the circumstances you have and dont lose out a ton of place of circle or uneven terrain, also let the foundations be build higher to even out terain! in someplaces it works but in lot it doesent.

im happy its a circle it lets you menige space as a limted resorce and you need to use youre brain

not everting needs to fit in a box ore be the same

end if youre smart you dont need more space than given

You can build outside the circle, you don't have to have the entire thing in the circle. If it's partially in the circle, it's still in the circle.

I've had my corners decay, maybe they were TOO much outside of the circle.

Yeah I like to test the range with worthless platforms. Space constraints are real. Every so often when I dreaded losing a base only to rebuild one I found myself clearing out a lot of crap important before. That no longer was.

If it's your own world, you can just change the decay rate to minimum.

Because that would copy minecraft.

yea you can build with it but, if you go verticaly the Pals Bug out often i dunno why, you have to make a staircase 3 stairs wide only that they dont bug out, takes again a lot of space, than when you want to build a Fortress the place is prety limited or you have no garden. for a nice fortres you need at least 2 Tiles around the whole Base, yea you can turn of decay but then when you enable raids your pals don react because the fortress walls are out of the circle ... easiest solution is to make it square, and also you lose place because the palbox needts to be in the middle you cant place the palbox at a corner.

Circles and spheres are cheaper/faster to test for than squares and cubes. There's probably tons of calls to see if a certain point is within a base area so using efficient methods will reduce loads on the server/host.
