So I took a look at Nexus mods for this game...

And I'm gonna say it plain. Yes, I'm a furry (if the avatar wasn't enough of a giveaway). But whoever made some of those mods over there are some of the creepiest, weirdest, thirstiest freakos I've ever seen. xD

I mean... someone is systematically making mods to add boobs and naughty bits to all the pals. WHY?! Some of the changes to the models are straight janky garbage, yet people are putting actual effort inito doing it! It's like those people who used to draw 'porn' on the bathroom stalls in high school learned to code just so they could carry their 'skills' into the future.

You guys need to touch grass and talk to Jesus, I swear. That might not even be enough; you might need to SMOKE grass with RAPTOR Jesus to get past this!

EDIT: It seems a few people are taking this the wrong way, so let me clarify a few things. THIS THREAD WAS MEANT TO BE FUNNY. Because I FIND the things I saw there to BE funny. I'm not posting this here to judge anyone, or to 'out' myself as a furry; as I mentioned, my icon says it all. But I thought other people here who didn't know about it would be interested and similarly amused, so I mentioned what I found there. If that is what people are into in their survival games, I'm not even mad... I just think it's hilarious the lengths they went to. Hopefully I'm not the only one.

And for those few who think this is 'yet another attempt to discredit the game'? ...look at my hours in this game, and please don't be like that. I like this game a lot. Why else do you think I'm out there looking into QOL mods for it?

Cannot confirm or deny myself as having no interest in the material I never looked into it. I've seen lots of bad ones being made fun of that were from people making a living out of it tho.

As far as Nexus goes though, I'm not putting them down as a site or a source of mods. I just had to filter so much stuff to get to what I was looking for... I think like half the pages were blocked after I set up the filter to block adult and nudity options... that it made me feels a twisted need to share. xD

It's a damn drag but unless you're the impressionable kind you can find a lot of gems among the turds if you care to look. Nexus is one such place, 4chan was another, Danbooru could be a third. It's the internet tho, I like it this way rather than the "sanitized" internet of current times.

There are good QoL mods on there, like Fast Travel Anywhere if you have teleports unlocked (manually) (or setting up bases), another good one would be base limit increases there are 2 main ones I would recommend (Duck's Progressive Bases or Increased Base Amount and Worker Pals), a very good one is Duck's Useful Recipes which add alternate recipes for various items. Several recommended (my opinion) mods is Increased Durability (Infinite or Increased Durability which has 4 different files Infinite, 2x, 5x or 10x), Bigger and Reorganized Palbox (Several different options but the 1920 version is a good one but requires a new character), and Teh Extra Base Area (This is recommended because it increases Base radius and it's customizable to)

Another big one is Increased World Setting Limit which adds flexibility to the settings to customise your play experience. Finally a really good one which can add more to this is Gameplay Tweaks which is full customization in terms of practically everything (gameplay wise).

These are some that i'm using to fit my preference (because i'm a hoarder for resources since I only play Singleplayer, and I constantly create new worlds.)

There's been some drama surrounding the devs behind the mod. The head of the team has been asked to step down due to her neglecting her well being, to which she personally refused and denied. This made everyone leave the team all except for her, and they stated to not have their concepts used in the mod anymore.

Just today at the time of this post, she placed the project on permanent hiatus. Even the discord server that used to make routine announcements for the mod has been repurposed into just a NSFW server, right after she wanted to rebrand the mod and name it Stargazer.

I'm currently asking around if the people that left are still active and working on the mod without her, or if it's really just dead now. Either way now that the mod is no longer present on Nexus, the file itself in its current state is out in the wild. I happen to have a copy of it's current version before being set to hidden.

Edit: To add on to this, earlier today someone actually went and reuploaded the mod on nexus, and their discord was linked to it as well. The dev found out, tracked them down, and had some pretty intense things to say to them before they quietly removed it. This was the last time this mod was seen.

theres one person named tboxbr that makes sfw and nsfw of some pals that are at lease okish on both ends (honestly i would had gotten a sfw one of petallia and lyleen of theres) but ya most of the time the make them lewd idea is just slap some tits on them or a ♥♥♥♥ on many that would not make sinse to do so(like the flamethrower fox/sheep ball/chicken o why the chicken)

Damn, I was wondering whatever happened to the mod and finding out about it now just seems so unreal and wild.

I know modern day modding has it's drama, but for a nsfw mod of all things, it's crazy how far something that like could spiral to such an outcome.

I'm wondering now if someone else will make their own versions of said mod instead, without her code. Given that the game isn't near 1.0 yet, I imagine one eventually will (there are already skins for certain pals that border nsfw, though they are being updated at a slow pace).
