How often do you fight while mounted?
I know you and your pal can attack in sync while mounted but how effective is it vs commanding your pal while you use a weapon etc? I realise you get added stats to attack from some mounts. I literally NEVER even think to do it :/

I do it sometimes, depending on the mount and enemy. Flying mounts can be good for attacking from a safe range. I used the Alpha Grintale as a mount for awhile. His signature bodyslam is amazing for groups of enemies like the Pal Alliance dudes.

Sometimes, I'll ride Pyrin or Fengalope in battle. You reload your weapon while moving, so being mounted and shooting is a nice way to avoid attacks.
i use wolf to farm weaker low lvl pals cuz he has really fast cd skills

also if you didnt know skill cd are seperate when mounted, so you can use your long cd skills unmount and your pal will be able to use their long cd skills again.

all the time, shooting down from a flying mount is a good way to avoid some attacks (self destruct, tornadoes, etc), but something a lot of people might not know is that your pals abilities have separate cooldowns for mounted and unmounted, so if you have a pal like mammorest with powerful abilities on long cds you can mount him and use all of his skills, then unmount and he will start using them again right away

Most of the time, actually. You can say to your pal to use an attack and immediately aim and attack yourself; that increase in damage often stun (outside of legendary), and once you use your 3 cooldown you can jump off and have your pal use them AGAIN.

After that, you just need to have your pal be target dummy (recall if it's attacked) and dodge, until your cooldown come back and repeat.

the extra damage is actually quite large, for the pal Iv tested.

Doing a Direhowl Drive-by is pretty fun

Jetragon rockets, one at a time. Awesome for farming for 10/10 captures. You weaken them in a controlled manner so you don't instakill them with your pals. In addition, every rocket is a stun so you get to basically stunlock the whole fight.

That makes sense. Never thought about that. To be honest, most of the things I'm farming currently I need the /10 bonus on but yeah, good shout.

Do they not self destruct if they cannot path to you? Seen 2x Alpha Elizabees last night and they both just insta-rush and explode giving me no chance to capture. That sounds like a nice way round it.

I have a Helizephyr and Quivern, but not sure which to make the saddle for. Need 40 Electro organs which is a bit pricey. Been carting around my nightwing for a while but just hit level 36 so got options now and I keep Quiv in my party anyway so would free up a slot.

This. Uusually because I press spacebar which is "fly lower" on satisfactory but on palworld it's my primary mounted attack lol

A fair amount of on mount fighting. Beegardes have exploded beneath me if I was on the ground when they start and then fly out of the way.

some mounts even add their elements to your weapons, shotguns or AR types with lightning or fire are devastating

I'll have to trial it. Thanks to me having about 7 sessions with various mate combos and me spending 3/4 of my time just ripping down and rebuilding bases to scratch my satisfactory itch I'm only level 36 on what I'd consider my primary world. Got 100 hours and 80 of them have probably been doing nothing productive just messing about and building/deleting/building. Only just got to polymer/circuit/carbon so gonna spend next session just farming and capturing instead of messing about

useful for the cooldown timers, especially in boss fights (towers)

I don't understand how to do it. My attack button is R2, but that's one of my Pal's three move buttons. Pressing R2 just makes them do the move, it doesn't let me use my attack.

Aim down sight, then attack
