is there a mod that have different character models for male and female version of the pals?

title. sometimes i'm running around the base trying to pick up an anubis to breed and i keep picking up the wrong one trying to place them in the breeding pen, rejected for wrong gender match, then i need to run around the base randomly picking up another anubis, hoping they would match with the one already in the pen.

no, just, no. you can start your own thread for that, if you want (goodluck), just don't derail this topic about character models, please.

inb4 : just respawn the anubis in and out of palbox and then insta grab them before they run away.

yes, that's my workaround.

i'm just saying, i'd still prefer them to have different character models for ease of distinction. i'm guessing there's a bunch of character designers/artists/modders who might be interested in showcasing their fanart male/female design variations.

i've seen a mod use model replacer (changes tropical outfit to Klee), but there doesn't seem to be a lot of mods for this game yet.

That would be helpful... Although I'm terrified of where the modding community may take that. o_o

There's already a mod in progress that's planned to have different NSFW models for male and female pals.

If you hover the crosshair over the Pal it well show you a male female sign but it can be hard to note if they are running around >_<. So ya would be nice if there was more visual diffrences on the sexes of the Pals.

when i imagine a male version of Lovander, i'm guessing some fanart would make it look like a Pal version of Puri Puri Prisoner (One Punch) hahaha.

but i still want to see how they're gonna design gender-swapped-looking versions of other pals, like Bushi, Anubis, etc.. since a lot of pals look humanoid.

Just made post few hours back, asking same thing. Does have the Gender sex symbols to the top right of there characters page. Only way can really tell atm, since they all look alike.

I think this feature should be done by developers, not by modders, it is natural that different sex have different appearance, this game is incomplete without this difference

ah, i didn't. i breed a lot of pals, so even if i name them. i'll probably just call it "Anubis #1", "Anubis #2", etc.. so i didn't bother. hahaha..

plus, the "respawn them from a palbox" just seemed like a much less-hassle solution compared to renaming each one of them.

the modding community is hard at work on this. I'd give em a few months to really nail it though. with the game getting regular updates they'll probably slow down at times, but they seem oddly dedicated. never underestimate the drive of furry enthusiasts. we should all just hope they remember to make a sfw version for those of us that want to play with other people around.

I agree, wouldn't be to much work either i would think. They just need to change the pink skins color to blue. Then just remove hearts, flowers and feminine eyelashes. Then vice versa for males adding all that to there models. So they wouldn't have to remake them from scratch just alter them a little.
Like Vixy for example, has feminine eyes. They could just remove the eyelashes then name male counterparts to vixon.

the game is still early access right now. But I feel like this is the sorta thing they'd plan to add to it. Because some species only make sense to have different colors or shapes depending on their male/female status.

The human shaped ones especially stand out. Hips, bust, clothing styles (dresses, bare chests, etc). There are some that just fit one gender but not the other.
Not that clothing is a solid rule or anything.
