Assuming the housing structures dont work properly to contain the heat.
Joking aside... There are a three factors in hatching temperature that I have found so far.
First factor: The egg type itself. Scorching eggs require a LOT of heat. Frozen eggs are the opposite, they actually require the COLD.
Second Factor: Stuff like campfires, heaters, and coolers that are around them.
And Third Factor: The actual ambient temperature itself as well as time of day. Common eggs are 100% in the daytime in the starting biome with a campfire, but drop to 'slightly cold' at night in the starting biome with just a campfire. Annoyingly as someone pointed out, they don't stack. So you will need an electric heater/heater/campfire. Or, conversely coolers for stuff like frozen eggs etc.
But, the point mainly is: There is absolutely zero universal 100% hatching solution for a single area. Because what would make a scorching egg 100% faster, would make it too hot for frozen egg so it would have 0% boost at all.
Yeah i setup a third base near the lava / mountain zone for sulphur and to hatch these specific types of eggs.
Couldn't get it working with heaters and campfires
You need the electric heater that you get at level 41.
