If game freak really gave a damn about other creators using
creature collecting in there games
Digimon wouldn't even have even exist anymore
they would have sued them
And fact digimon still exist proofs they don't care

Yeah digimon came out first actually lol
Sad tho, none of them acknowledge this and just continue to tunnel vision in on palworld vs pokemon

Ah yes how dare they make a crab shame on game freak. These comparison is stupid.
Large orange, horned crab, with massive mouth and googly eyes. It's more than just being a crab.

And these are the same sort of comparisons that Pokemon fanboys are making so it's a fair point.
You: "Oh no you can't use common evolutionary biology to design creatures that nature developed because pokemon used them once!"

That's just impressive man.
CORRECT
I feel like this pokemon vs palworld drama isn't gonna end until game freak them self come out with a statement saying
We not gonna sue them

Nintendo might, but they'd lose in court, just like they did when they sued Temtem.

I think you might be missing the point. Dragon Quest came out first. Pokemon copied them, NOT the other way around.

Pokemon fanboys are crying that "pals are too similar to pokemon" and saying that Pals copied. They don't seem to realize that Pokemon copied Dragon Quest's monsters.

I am first gen Pokemon dude who knows absolutely everything about Pokemon Red/Blue and the very first 151 Mons. But I lost track after that.

tbf if it wasn't for the first 151 Mons and the missing Evolution part I would not even notice a difference between a recent Pokemon game with hundrets of mons I don't know, or Palworld with the unknown Pals.

Generally speaking I wish more games and every industry would "copy" more and take things that are good and try to make them better. Otherwise you have the 20th Pokemon game that is completely out of touch and not stat of the art like Pokemon Arceus... because there is no competition. With Palworld I really hope etablished Corpos holding their IP as hostage take a big sip of reality and aim to create better than the average stuff

Yeah clearly game freak thinks it's not copying from pokemon or they would have sue them
But sounds more like nintendo and nintendo fans are salty it's not on switch

To be frank, I never played the modern Dragonquest and temtem and many pokemons after red/blue/yellow as well, and I can't tell them apart

Digimon was definitely after pokemon. Idk where this argument came from, but i've been seeing it for years. Digimon started in 1997 as virtual pets, a counterpart to tamagatchi. Pokemon started as a video game in early 1996.

The first digimon game was september 98.

The first pokemon episode was april 1997. Digimon was august 99. It's not even close. Pokemon was at it's full popularity 2 full years before digimon.
Dragon Warrior Monsters (or Dragon Quest Monsters) was an amazing gameboy game that came out about 2 years after the first Pokemon games. There's a lot to be desired in the game, but it had (and still has) some of the best monster breeding mechanics of any monster collecting game.

Also to be fair, there's been a million monster designs over the years, even prior to Pokemon. A lot of them are based on real animals, and it's difficult to make something completely removed from any similarity to previous monsters. To be more fair, the creators of Palworld did use the models of Pokemon for their base and made modifications to get them to be unique enough. I'm completely ok with this.
Pokemon wasn't the first game of this type.
Diablo wasn't the first game of that type. (The Bard's Tale clone (which was a clone of HACK(1984) allready) with better GFX)
World of Warcraft wasn't the first game of that type. (Telnet-MUD clone with better GFX).

The FIRST games of any type are very likely made between 1960 and 1980 on some University super computer, any Intel / IBM internal prototype or maybe Sinclair ZX / C64 / Atari ST / Amiga :).

Most players today are just to young to know.
A wheel is a wheel no matter if it is made out of stone, wood, iron or rubber. It can be improved ... but once invented it will never be the "first" anymore :D.

Pokémon released in 1996. Dragon Quest released in 1986. It came first by like a decade.
