No there isn't. However you can get a 2nd and a 3rd base if you continue to level up your main base. Most people use the 2nd base for mining Ore and the 3rd base for mining Coal though as you're going to need thousands of coal and ingots to refine them into refined and PalMetal later on.
Trouble I've found with this is creatures seem to have a lot of trouble with navigation once foundations and walls are involved, and even if you yourself intend to handle all the manual crafting (I personally highly recommend hitting Work Speed 500 as the difference is night-and-day), if they have the handiwork trait and aren't assigned somewhere (or more often than not unassign themselves) they'll attempt to come running to that station to help and end up getting stuck a lot more, adding a lot of agitation with manually pulling them in and out of the box to get them unstuck.
If you've come up with a decent build plan that gives them the room they need to move and defeats their hangups with sharp elevation changes, I'd happily take a look at it. As of right now, though, I'm just exceedingly thankful you can use the Dismantle feature on the Build Menu to remove structures without losing any resources, and if they're a container, you get everything they had in them. Game would be agonizingly tedious otherwise, trying to retroactively makeup for the current poor pathing.
But yes, once the Workshop hits and there's an all your base mod, there'll be no going back.
