What's wrong with AI generated content?
It's just doing what any human would do. Looking at reference material and other inspiration, then generating something new from that. Only difference is AI is faster.

No one here has any issues with computers running algorithms and calculations faster than a human.

Oh and it will listen to you, so if you tell it to do it's best it will and not just laze around collecting a paycheck. Not saying everyone does that but I certainly love how AI is not subjected to that behaviour.

Only a human is capable of taking inspiration from something. Generative AI art at this time consumes already existing art without permission and renders fusions of it.

Actually the difference is AI can't create anything new. It can only iterate on old concepts.

Also, if we use AI for things, we lose the incentive and skills of artists. There will be no new apprentices and no new artists, just AI.

These are the same fallacious arguments used as robotics and computers gained prominence.

OP, as yet there has been zero proof that this game even uses AI. And as long as it was ethically trained, there's no problem even if it does use AI.
everything in modern society uses AI.
security cameras use AI
your phones use AI
your favorite social media website uses AI

and this is just the beginning. palworld using AI isnt even on the list of top 100 biggest problems with AI.

Thissss, omg so little people understand this.

Search engines, algorithms, suggestive recommendations, filters, the list goes on and on and on

There's nothing wrong with AI generated content. Artists ("") are burying themselves into their own holes by being totally insane over its usage. Seriously, why would anyone want to deal with these divas and their personalities when you can learn how to prompt, use extensions, etc. in Stable Diffusion and forego the need to interact with these "people"? Choice is pretty clear to me.

Most of the "artists" who are most upset over this are your bargain barrel Deviant Art posters whose only source of income is tracing (lol, the irony. Also, Stable Diffusion does it better), or drawing really bad OC of people's FFXIV characters.

Because artist are mad that technology has come along and going to take away a lot of their jobs, like many types of technology has in the past. That's the only thing people are mad about. Remember when computer came along and took away things like switchboard operators for a phone company. Same thing.

Yea, people who fear A.I. are typically those who do not understand it or feel their quality of work is so terrible an A.I. can replace it.

While A.I. generation is in in infancy, like with most work expanding technologies. This technology has the potential to reduce the cost and development time of games, media, and other entertainment. Thus allowing idie companies to compete with AAA studios.

It's our generations industrial revolution.

Basically just fear-mongering, as people have to adapt to using the new technologies that improve the lives of the average person. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHkXHK4A19k

Indie companies defeated AAA industry already. And they didn't need AI for that.

When an indie creates the next Assassin's Creed or Elder Scrolls competitor, then maybe I will believe it. For now, most of the well known indies struggle to produce the kinds of games that AAA's were making ten years ago because of limited resources. A.I. will help to reduce the resource expense in time, manpower, and cost.

To be fair #1, a large majority of artists do not output original concepts as much as you think, they still fall under most categories like steampunk, cyberpunk, medieval, magical fantasy, sci fi. Even then they do the same as AI taking reference material and creating their original concepts.
AI just does it alot faster and can mass produce results, they can do the same taking reference #1 - #5 and making something inbetween and mixing it up. Heck even original artists could take this weird results of AI generated art as a new reference for even more original concepts.

To be fair #2, the people who use AI or depend on AI already do not have the skills of the artists or are willing to learn. It just science/tech doing what science/tech does the best, bring convenience to those who don't have it.

You're not going to start walking to work everyday just because "Oh we will lose that skill and endurance", you would still take the convenience of a bus/car/taxi.

There will always be a market for organic artists just like how certain branded products prize themselves for handcrafted products over factory mass produce.

Yet for some reason searching for specific things becomes more and more difficult. And naturally question arises - is this needed to the end user at all?

Here you go, elder scrolls
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1466060/Tainted_Grail_The_Fall_of_Avalon/
and upcoming elder scrolls from creators of Daggerfall
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1685310/The_Wayward_Realms/

I saw quite a few indie AC competitors, wasn't interested to buy because im not interested in AC in the first place.

Besides, AI wins in quality of gameplay and originality of ideas.
