Shut up reddit ♥♥♥
You serious??
You've never played Soul Reaver huh? It did a "umbral realm" DECADES before Lords of the Fallen (puzzles included)
But uhh, yeah ok.
I'm looking forward to trying to (and probably failing to) put the LoK series through that new Nvidia Remix jawn. That series needs a resurrection.
I've had an unusually long day, so I don't know if I have the energy to explain why this statement is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wrong.
Like you don't have to be a Pokemon rom hacker to see that mechanically Pokemon and Pals are VERY different and the only thing they have in common is an aesthetic.
Before I played the game I did think it looked "like Pokemon with guns" but after a few hours of playing it and seeing how the Pals and combat actually work, this is nothing like Pokemon mechanically.
Who lied to you child?
You should punch them in the face.
For those of you not old enough to remember, or too old and forgot, Pokemon pre-dates Monster Rancher by a full year and a half.
Think about how much money we'd save!
Honestly couldn't remember, but I was doing it for the "eating your own medicine" effect. The newer pokemons started to introduce proper pet care and breeding which were long in monster rancher games.
The first few pokemon games were just mindlessly catch / level up / battles
