This is what Pokemon should've been by now.

Pokemon hasn't evolved in like... forever. It's the same gameplay loop since the Gameboy days. And so even though this game looks jank in early access release, it already looks better than anything the mainline Pokemon games have done.

They've (pokemon IP) has been a crazy money printing machine with little to no competition so for them there is no reason to break the obsoleteness and take a leap. They will only change if this game or another do indeed explode in popularity to the point they feel threatneed of losing they money printing machine.

Naw, Pokemon is really for kids more. This is for those who grew up with Pokemon and want something a bit more adult. I think they can both exist with there own fan base.

Why would game freak need to innovate when pokemon still sells millions of units every single release lol. ♥♥♥♥, they are still doing the same "release 2 copies of the same game but include 1-3 unique pokemon in each version of the game" gimmick from red/blue. AND PEOPLE BUY BOTH VERSIONS! 🤣

They dont call it the church/cult of Nintendo for nothing.

Theres been like a dozen far superior creature catcher games from indie devs over the last 5 or so years. Literally no reason to touch pokemon again if you enjoy this sort of game.

That's true they make tons. But I'm still gonna call them out for it. And I forgot the different versions scam they're still doing. Imagine if they tried that garbage on Steam lol, sell us two copies of the same game. So I don't know why people give them a pass on console/handheld.

Yea Shin Megami Tensei is as old as if not older than Pokemon and it's always been better.

Pokemon is good enough. They won't change much thing especially the gameplay or they will lose those target players. Maybe this game suits you but not everyone tho.
