this was one of my first and biggest turns off on the game, the ability to keybind the way i want.
i currently use razer synapse to bind the keys in a way that lets me play how I'm most familiar.

For those that use the "0" key on the Keypad for Jump.
Navigate to the "MACRO" tab (at the top of your screen), click it, next click the + sign on the far left of your screen right where is says MACRO in bold green text. This will open up a new macro, Name it whatever you want so that you know it'll be the jump key for Palworld, next click on the "Record" button, press your spacebar once, adjust your delay to 0.1 for both key press down and release (the little arrows literally pointing down and up), next navigate to the "Keyboard" tab at the top of your screen, a virtual keyboard of the keyboard you have will appear, hover your mouse over the zero key on your virtual keyboard, click it, a side window will appear on the left of your screen, hover your mouse over "ASSIGN MACRO", click it, choose the macro you made, next set "Playback Option" to "Play Once". That's it for jumping. As for flying in-game that's a whole other issue that I haven't found a workaround as you'll still need to hit the space bar to gain altitude or you can mash the jump key as well but it'll be significantly slower. If you decide to use chat in-game just remember that your spacebar is now your zero key. To set if back, simply go back to the "Keyboard" tab and where you placed your macro you can set that key back to default.
For the "F" key.
Navigate to the "Macro" tab at the top of your screen. Click it, Hit the + sign on the far left right where is says MACRO bold text. This will open up a new macro, Name it Palworld F Key or whatever you want, Then navigate to the "Record" button. Press the "F" key once on your physical keyboard (the one your typing on), adjust your timings to "0" on both key press and release (the little arrows pointing down and up), Then navigate the the "Mouse" tab, you'll have 2 options if you're using a Razer gaming mouse, choose the option that shows a side view of your mouse (the side that shows all the fancy little buttons on your mouse), choose a button to assign your new macro to. I use #8 on my mouse. The issue with the "F" key is that the devs have it set to 2 in-game features which from time to time you may still have to press the "F" key for crafting and entering towers / dungeons. As for picking up items you can still hit for "F" key macro.
As for any other macro's / keybindings you can experiment with the steps I gave above and adjust to your liking. I know this isn't the best solution but it's a start and it's better than nothing. Until the devs implement the ablilty to remap keys you can use Synapse or another program like it, like iCUE or download mods from Curseforge / Nexusmods that can do some light keybindings. Hope this helps some.
1) Let me bind actions individually!
Rebinding one key to make one aspect of the game less painful then makes other aspects of the game more painful because that key isn't just "dodge" or "slide" its everything else associated with that key as well; which is silly. Not everyone has a fully functional left hand.
2) Stop blocking half the peripheral keys on the keyboard for rebinding.
There is no reason to forbid ALT, TAB, tilde (`), ect. from being used. They aren't used anywhere else in the game and if you're preventing our using them because of some coding issue, come on... it's 2024 and even 1 man indie devs can figure that one out.
3) Consistency in menuing.
Sometimes changing the page in the menu is Q/E. Sometimes its Z/C. Menuing through the pals in your party is 1/3. Pick one, stick with it. Frankly I'm tired of throwing my pal spheres at stuff because I'm in the "wrong kind of menu"
4) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me rebind BUILD to a 2 button input on controller or at the VERY least, let me bind it to the one of the start/select buttons!
I often switch to controller for longer fights (because frankly, it's less cumbersome than the keyboard layout for me) and its ever so lovely to be mid-battle, attempting to swap to another pal and instead bringing up the BUILD menu. As of right now, there is no way to rebind build on the controller at all - you're stuck with up on the D pad.
I use left hand Q,CAPS,S,Z to move because my hands are large.
The inability to rebind is seriously a no bueno for me.
Pretty sure I'm gonna fight for a refund at this moment. I've tried everything from macros to keyboard remapping, to trying to compromise and rebind some keys to my mouse... no go...
A person should never have to compromise to be comfortable playing a game IMO.
This is definitely a deal breaker for me.
You vill play with wasd
You vill not rebind keys
And you vill be happy
