the alien zones are super easy to find,. not sure what game you have been playing...?
And as someone mentioned above, an option to filter out items (like terrain blocks) so you don't pick them up would be a great addition.
This game has so many items, your inventory fills up after just a few minutes of exploration and I find myself constantly managing inventory space.
That being said, if the game keeps growing as in more biomes and blocks and ores, it would be great to have some sort of "Magic Storage" a la Terraria. Core Keeper has an alien themed biome, so they can develop some sort of remote inventory device, or a drone carrier.
The sky is the limit with this type of games, and what can be done with them.
It's all about the food, my dear friend! There are max HP and damage decrease effects. Golden crops and rare fish give amazing defensive and huge damage buffs. If you're playing a mage or ranger, wear a necklace and rings that have armor on them instead of more damage.
Use a shield! If you time it right you parry all the damage, otherwise you block 70 percent of the damage.
Hard mode mobs only have 50% more HP but they do double damage. The above tactics are how I survive in hard mode.
Hope this helps you.
Forgot to add: Carrocks and Rock Fish recipes give armor, and Heart Berries give max HP usually. Try Heart Berry and Carrock food to start off stronger.
