What does the Petal Ring do?

I've got 52 Harvesting.
Not using any other buffs or gear or food.

Two gardens setup with 100 cells.
100 Bomb Peppers
100 Glow Tulips

Harvested Glow Tulips without the Ring
Harvested Bomb Peppers with the Ring

Both returned the same number of seeds and the same number of produce.

I am not using any mods. zero.

It's a percentage, not a flat increase. You got unlucky on that harvest. Put on the Farmers hat and the necklace from Easter Azeos and you'll notice a change.

Update: I tested yesterday and today and was convinced it was doing nothing. Today, had a small epiphany after trying to screenshot some things and its slow to update (also same how you unlock a chest and it vanishes then reappears unlocked). I decided to put the ring on, wait a good 20 seconds, then try. And sure enough, it worked then. Got 175 food return on 100 seeds. I'm just too zoomie and put the ring on and in 4 clicks have the garden harvested.

It just increases the chance of getting more food when harvesting plants. If you use a large hoe to harvest the chance to get more food is only calculated once, so where I've got a 5x5 farm and a scarlet hoe I get 2x the plants half the time.

Someone mentioned in the past that the bonus only worked when using the hoe tool... not sure if that was fixed or changed.

In average :
For 3 harvest actions (eg with scarlet hoe) you get one double harvest and two triple harvest, so for 3 fields a 24, it should be 48 + 72 + 72 = 192 crops.
