A number slider bar where you can either use the slider or type in a number between 1 and 999 would be very handy when splitting stacks exactly how you want them.
The chest should have an auto currency area that doesn't require actual chest space to hold each stack of 999 coin, it should just be in the game system somewhere, not taking up actual physical space.
An auto drop option would be cool, based upon already having an item of that type in your chest, compared to what you are trying to put away from your inventory, I believe it would make for faster deposit and pick up.
Weapons, potions, valuable, should be auto populated after clicking 'sort'.
Also, when you die to a monster, when you pick your stuff back up again, it would be nice if the items picked up stacked with what you already have in your inventory, if you've collecting anything on your way back up or down, to getting your lost valuables.
hitting r iirc does arrange everything in your bag not sure about chests

So far I noticed clicking in left stick switches to torch as long as you hold it down. Pressing right bumper while hovering over an item splits stack for each press.
Are there any others? I would love an auto dump option when opening up chests. Manually dragging each item and placing it on the stack of items in the chest is tedious.
r trigger + a = drop item in chest (auto dump)
r shoulder= select 1 item from stack (repeatable)
l shoulder = select half stack (repeatable)
You could use steam controller config to toggle torch with left stick button. I've been using right stick button toggle = auto right trigger for one handed strip mining.
The d pad buttons could also be changed for similar shortcuts or a repeat (with slight delay?) press, so you don't miss spots when planting/ watering etc.
