You can even farm up some spawn tiles for mimites/orbital turrets.
By end game you can just farm them off the final story boss.
It's beyond stupid you need this for both drops and bosses, also that bosses drop it after you get it once, behold that you didn't use it to upgrade weapons.
Like dude, seriously?
Just stop having the goal of jungle emeralds. Farm the biome and alien ruins for solarite and explore to see various scenes. You'll eventually find one passively.
This is pretty useless advice since progression is locked behind those gems. Both boss progression and also gear progression.
It's a good thing the player data is just a simple .json so I can edit in more of the item because if this boss ends up giving me as much trouble as Ra Akar then I'll be grinding for weeks at this rate. Anyways, grinding for rare drops is just a bad mechanic, especially when it's intended for progression. I got other things going on in my life, man. Don't artificially drag this stuff out for me.
Getting gems for gear upgrades is garbage if you haven't finished the story. The cost is too high for very little gains. So there's no point to using them for upgrades until you've finished the final boss. Once you finish the final story boss, you can farm it for gems with almost no cost (only coins).
You spent 50 hours on a game, I don't think you have much going on in your life.
This is what I did for sapphires. I think it's the correct advice.
And I hated it. I wish there was a better way of getting them. I think a trader should sell them for 3k each or something as a way to allow the unlucky to progress past the worms.
You can mostly ignore mining and exploring due to the over-abundance of ore boulders, and loot in general, I guess is something to be expected.
But I agree, got 6 gems in 30 minutes of exploring the crystal area, from the mimites and the crystal destructibles. A bit lucky but still.
Life is like a RNG, If you're looking for something, you'll never get it, look for something else and you'll get what you weren't directly looking for.
