How do you keep your animals safe?
I made sure my animals were surrounded by fences and (closed) gates, and cave walls, and a horde of ranged enemies showed up and killed my cow creature.

How do you keep them from doing this? Clearly my preventive measures were not enough.

Stronger walls and surround them with water maybe?

i wall my base in, all around (currently 60x50 tiles) also have a moat and the entrance are with spikes and automated doors, if you want to be even more safe, do the same for your farm, for walls i would suggest at least stone or the "moving" walls from the bug biome, or ofc anything higher

just build a thicc wall or if you not sure make canal around farm or base

Water moats on the outside, with inner walls to absorb projectiles. Beware that monsters off camera will move according to the chunk system, so they can jump across a moat if it doesn't cover a chunk border.

This :steamthis: surround your walls with water :mead::clonecc::CoreKeeper_Sword: And put a bunch of metal spike traps to protect your door if your base is being swarmed by hostiles.

Thank you for the input, peoples. I do like making home-bases, so this should be interesting.
