No fast travel points beyond the wall? Backtracking is getting really bad.
Do fast travel points spawn beyond the wall once you defeat the first 3 bosses?

I didn't find any in a very large chunk of map i have explored.

Am I supposed to spend 10 minutes backtracking with respawning enemies every single time I die, and in this game you die with 3 hits since on Hard every armor is made of cardboard?

Just to know how many smokes i need to buy to tolerate this crap. One of the most annoying backtrackings i have seen in any game of this type ngl.

How do you pick up and move portals?!? Also at what level/requirement can you craft them?

Fairly early. Craft a crude drill and a generator. set drill aimed at, and next to a waypoint, and power it. Way later on, you can just mine it with a pickaxe. also later on you can craft portals, that work exactly the same as a waypoint. Little costly though. It's on the octarine workbench and costs 100 each copper, iron, and octarine, another 200 coral wood planks, 20 mechanical parts, and 30 ancient gemstones.

Side note, portals and waypoints once placed, take 10 minutes to "charge" before being useable.

you also have to stand near a waypoint to "activate" it, once the 10 minutes is up, but portals don't need to be activated, so you can just place them, leave, and teleport to them once they are charged

You can also do that but on another world you made and farm up some waypoints. I did so cause before you get the resources to make Portals it's a HUGE pain in the arse without 'em.

I make teleporter strongholds at bosses, boulders and key locations now. If rails had some automated load and then carry back mechanic I'd 100% be using rails though.

I create a rail system that runs north, south, east and west. Enclose it so you prevent enemy spawns. Makes exploring past the wall way less tedious. Later on when portals are unlocked you can use those. I generally leave boss portals where they are, except Glurch which is right near spawn. Also clear up any spawn tiles in areas you expect to be backtracking through. Then you don't get respawns. Sunken Sea and Desert are a bit trickier with the beach and desert sand spawning scarabs and crabs.
