Cartography table disconnects me from the session
I am playing in a friend's server, and whenever i try and interact with the cartography table, the game disconnects me from the session. what do

Same happening here, it can be replicated every time. Just joining a friends session, use the table and in around 2 seconds you get "connection lost" error after immediately rubber-banding around.

Seems like a regression from 2022 :VGRUMPY:

One of my friends has the same problem. He can't use the cartography table now.

Same here with a friend, mine works fine but he disconnects after about 1 second every time. Any idea of a fix/workaround?

When ever we play (5 players in total) and someone touches the cartography table; everyone else lags at the time but me as I am the host.
Other than that the game works fine, but we have never experienced disconnects because of it.

I have a feeling that if you/friends disconnect when using the table, your connection or their connection is not capable of transfering the data / information through fast enough and disconnects. It could also be hard drive issue not being fast enough to operate the data and game / steam decides to disconnect (time out) the transfer.

Still happens to me, tried deleting some save files but didn't solve anything

I've never used the Cartography table nor played on a multiplayer server. But, from the description and these reports, it sounds like either:

There's a timed-out response that the game is not error-catching.

Or, the Visitor does not have adequate permissions to initiate a connection. (Security Issue)

Glad to hear! My group's been waiting until a few more of these bigger bugs have been squished before they try the new content... I wanna play it with them so badly! :)

Hi,

For us the issue was that one of the players (not the host) had his VPN turned on and that caused him to lose connection when opening the cartography table. It could be that some TCP or UDP port was being blocked.

Turning off the VPN fixed the issue. I hope this helps :)
