Transfer a character to a friend's world

HI,

I want to transfer my character to a world hosted by my friend. Is this possible? If so, how would I go about it? Also, does the contents of my character's inventory also transfer over?

I'm not 100% sure how it works in multiplayer, since I only play single player. But generally characters can be used across worlds and you can bring items between worlds no problem. So you can use 1 character to play in multiple worlds. I would assume the same goes for multiplayer. You can always try creating a new character and test it to be sure, so you don't lose anything.

you're fine to use the character in any world hosted by anyone, i've done so many times. Yes your inventory does transfer over as do all skill levels and gear etc. If you've played Terraria, it's the same there, your characters and worlds are not linked so they can be used separately as you wish.

This game doesn't lock your characters in the world like Minecraft does, the save data for characters and worlds are separate.

So you can join any world with any character. If you want to play multiplayer, just pick the character you want and join their game.
