1.0, Destroy music doors finally?
Any word on if we'll finally be able to destroy the music room walls? They've been a hassle with my base so much and at least when I last played you can destroy the maze walls but not the door itself.

Yes, I agree. Once opened, we should be able to remove the whole melody room. Especially since the first one can spawn only 70 tiles from the core. That just gets in the way a lot.

Honestly I think just giving the same damage level as the rest of the room would be great, it seems odd I can chop the walls away and get the loot but still can't damage the door.

But that should be the point. Not being able to go in the room until you complete the instrument mini game.

You can't get in otherwise until very late game.

My point isn't to bypass the minigame (which you can do mid-game with a mining focus build) It is that once opened the rest of the room is destroyable but the walls aren't which can interfere with base building and logistics routing, ie; minecart ore delivery etc;

How does it get in the way? Are you guys buildings bases larger than 70 tiles next to the core? :o

Actually, with default world generation settings in 9.9.9 I've had a melody room spawn as close as 35 tiles away from the core.

Some people like to build a geometrically pleasing base with all the amenities, and when you include all the crafting stations, storage, a farm, an animal enclosure, and NPC housing your base can get quite big. And even bigger when including stuff like decorations, an automated forge/mill setup, fishing spots, monster spawning rooms, and a boss arena for Glurch.

I still can't imagine a 70 tiles base, but I just started the game. I made all the crafting stations up to iron, have a small garden and a cattle enclosure, 2 npc rooms and it's all no more than 20 tiles wide...

I play this game with a friend who's literally an irl interior designer. You have no idea how far a true builder is willing to go. Expand, expand, expand.

He's lucky I'm a compulsive resource grinder and can feed his addiction. Oh boi, here I go mining again.

Because you can't build layers, You have to build out, So for myself right now I have my farm next to the Slime boss along with cattle since it has a waypoint near it. My main base is currently around 30x30 tiles and houses a bank, homes for npcs, a kitchen, and crafting room.
However I'll prob need to expand later for automation and wider storage in the bank.

Also Won't say how but it seems fairly plausable to eventually get around 2500 mining... I really hope the music doors aren't indestructible since the Maze walls can be destroyed (eventually).
Ugh i hope they make it destructible because they are also in the way of my building :zagcry:
