The game does well with its visuals and soundtrack but the story itself unfortunately lacks severely.

I personally found it much too fast-paced which made the overall character development feel a lot less impactful than it could have been, which in turn just made the cast feel very shallow and unfortunately rather boring.
Interactions between and with characters felt extremely disconnected-- aside from running errands for them I cannot say that they added much to the story for me which is a shame because all of them have very appealing designs and deserved much more depth than what they got.
The ending as well only added to the disappointment since the build-up towards it essentially led to nothing after the initial final boss. Not to mention the sound design, which I've personally found to ruin the mood a lot of the time with the way it was used in this game.

It sadly felt like a lot of the story was heavily neglected in favor of focusing more so on the gameplay and its bullet-hell mechanics. Saw a lot of potential in the game, especially since I originally purchased it in its EA stage before finally playing through it, but I'm sad to say that none of my expectations in regards to what I had hoped for the story were actually met.

Even with the beautiful visuals and soundtrack present, I'll unfortunately have to be honest enough to say that I wouldn't recommend this game.
