Agent 64: Spies Never Die

Agent 64: Spies Never Die

Just beat the game. Loved it! So here's some feedback
I just finished the story mode and absolutely loved the game. It perfectly captures the gameplay feel of the classics that inspired it.

As nice as the game already is, there are a few minor details I found myself missing that I think would make it pretty much perfect:

1) Dual wielding. It would be cool if some special enemies carried two pistols or SMGs, and if picking up their weapons also allowed us to dual wield them. You could use the weapon's own button to toggle between single and dual wielding.

2) Death animations. I feel like enemies always dropping like a sack of potatoes when they die gets a bit boring and repetitive. It would be nice to have another 2–3 more dramatic-ish death animations for some extra variety, even if they triggered less frequently than the vanilla ones.

3) Pre-mission briefings. It could be as simple as having a short paragraph of flavour text and the mission objectives when selecting a mission (maybe with a couple of intel shots), instead of a mere difficulty selection. It would add a lot to the atmosphere and let the new players go into each mission knowing what they're supposed to do.

These are all fairly minor details, but I think they would help make the overall experience feel more complete, and I don't imagine they would require a huge amount of work.

Long term, I also think that weapon variety is weak as it is. Maybe 1 or 2 more per weapon category would do the trick (preferably with secondary functions like Perfect Dark, but I'm aware that means a lot of testing and rebalancing)

In any case, my sincerest congratulations to the dev for making such an awesome game. I'm eager to beat it again with my friends in co-op.
