First off. As many of my friends will know from this review - I LOVE Lovecraft and that VN's are a guilty pleasure of mine but are one of my perfect ways to de-wind from a stressful day. So add the two and I was sceptical. I had seen the demo of this from the Dread X Collection 2 and thought that it was cute but wouldn't happen. Boy was I surprised when it came out as a full game and now has a successor to it! This game really really reminds me a lot of Hatoful Boyfriend with multiple ways that the story can end and having consequences of whether you can progress further into **wooing** your cosmic eldritch entities for a smooch.

You can tell that the devs had an absolute blast with making this and know their audience for both the VN genre and the Lovecraftian lovers out there. I appreciate that greatly as even when I died trying to **woo** my specific cosmic entity at the time it was a laugh. The voice actors for this were great and made each character have their own personality along with the dialogue that suited the cosmic beings they are portraying.

I think the trailer that they made for this was great and if they made this into an anime I would absolutely watch it for the derangement. Obviously this game won't be for everyone but I solidly believe that this was a breath of fresh air in the genre and there have been from it some other successful horror-esque VN following its release. So the pricing I think for this is absolutely fair compared to some other VN I've played in the past and I hope that they continue to make banger games like these!

HORNY CULTIST SIMULATOR

A daft dating/cheating sim with rituals whose existence I enjoy teasing eldritch horror fans with.

Funny with a spoonful of horror and sprinklings of sweetness, Sucker for Love isn't a contender for my favourite visual novel (please play Slay the Princess), but a nice enough diversion over an evening or two. Kudos to the voice actors for their work.
The main way you interact with the game is by finding the ritual you need for the situation, gathering items and arranging the room as required before performing the incantation with a careful click and drag.

While there was a jumpscare lazy enough to make me roll my eyes, my main criticism is the frequency of typos. It's distracting.

Man too horny to die. I am curious about its sequel: woman too ace to die.
