Sucker for Love: First Date is a game with a promising premise, but it does very little with it. Let's explore the ups and downs of the game (+, +/-, -, ?):

+ The gameplay is simple and the game runs very smooth.
+ H. P. Lovecraft's works were used really well... and in a hot manner...
+ The characters are the best part of the game. Our horny main man is a marvel and the goddesses are just awesome.
+ The 90's anime style reminds me of the good times.
+/- The game is super simple. Just click and read. Not much action here, but then again, it's a dating game.
+/- The OST/foley is fine, but nothing special. I was expecting at least one good track here since there's a god tier track in the sequel.
- The game feels repetitive and long, even though all the sections are very short.
- There's a lot of going back and forth while getting all the endings. Well, all the listed endings that is.
- The survival event is annoying. The game kinda needs it, but I still didn't like it.
- After 4 to 6 hours the game is done and there's no reason to come back to this.
? The sequel is much better!

Sucker for Love: First Date is a good, short parody that should be better. However, the short ride is mostly fun and the game's super cheap. The sequel is way better and I'm glad I played it first. Had I played this one first, I would've probably skipped the sequel. 5/10.

You get what it says on the tin. Silly eldritch-creature-dating fun for a few hours for a cheap price.
